Are these Tien S-Techs any good? Since Tien is such a great name and all...these springs are pretty cheap compared to the Eibachs and the H & Rs. How do they ride? Do they ride as well as Eibachs?
Depends how you define: good spring
Do they ride nice? I hear they do. Does the car sit at a good height? I believe so.
Is it a good spring? No. The materials used by Eibach, Vogtland, etc are far superior.

so from reading your posts im getting the hint I think.
any links to why eibach are so much better, just want
to know what the deal is with them, and why you say
they are better quality and such. Basically just looking
for something to read.

Materials. We use the best money can buy. This is why we can offer a million mile warranty, and Tein can only offer a one year warranty. Our springs are typically lighter, closer to quoted rate and have more travel than anything on the market.

so ryan thinks he's cool because he makes springs on a ONE mILLIon dollar machine... jk
sure, eibachs are great, but several of my friends autocross with the s-techs. everyone's pretty happy with them. what were those coilovers on your hatch again ryan?.... I.... can't...... remember.............
wooooo..... /sarcasm
ok, so maybe eibachs are superior to any other aftermarket spring, but i will still give tein credit for their product quality

not bad spring for everyday use and little bit of track use(circuit racing) but if u want a gud springs for everyday and track use... get KGMM DR spring... 8kg front and 6.7kg rear. very good spring indeed

I am going to need more then that. What materials
are you using that are so much better? I thought it
was more in the process that eibach uses that made
them the top **** for aftermarket springs. Thanks
for all the info.

I ran a Tein shock, which was on the car when I purchased it. After I acquired it, I cycle tested the springs which were on the shock and they are terrible. I sent my shocks to a machine shop to be modified in order to run an Eibach Spring. I threw the Tein springs away. Keep in mind this was one of their most expensive units.
Like I said in my original post, for just driving around town they are probably adequate.
I now run Koni`s and GC`s and my S2000. For the money, they can`t be beat.

I was going to run the Buddy Club Racing SPec Dampers, but with Eibach springs instead, but decided to keep the GC/Yellow setup instead.
And to the guy talking about his friends autcrossing on them....whoopty doo. Last season, I took 2 first place trohpies in my district....one for an invitational and one for the season. And I was on Arospeed coilovers with GR2 rears and AGX fronts
