woot new toys for the hatch
i went ahead and picked up one of those Silver's Racing Torque Dampeners last week. i bought it from kingsport? can't remember the url right now. anyway, $80 shipped and it showed up in 3 days from Hong Kong. i wish people in the US would ship that fast.

install was pretty easy, took less than 30 mins.
i haven't beat on it yet but will soon at the next autoX. so far the only negative i have notice is a little bit of excess vibration thought the steering wheel. i'ts possible i set the preload to be a bit high. i'll tweak it and see
pics

the other thing that goes on this week
hy tech twinloop. i'll try to get sound clips of it soon

finally installed the muffler. the guys at the muffler shop were tripped out by it. they had no idea what it was when i took it out of the box. oh well, its on....and its ugly. dunno what the guy at hytek used for measurements but none of the hangers lined up i had to get new hangers. other than that, the install was pretty smooth

it sounds similar to an apexi world sport

Thats great bro...But i thought we were trying to avoid topics such as this in the EG Civic+ forum.
I bet you'll get a whole lot more replies in the appearance forum.
Also IMHO that muffler looks like ***

Yeah, I must agree, the muffler isn't the prettiest thing out there but hey I'm pretty sure it does its job.

HyTech's full exhaust system for the Type R produces 20 HP and 22 lbs of torque, with the aid of tuning devices like cam gears and an Apexi VAFC. This Type R design comes form the CART Toyota Atlantic series, where HyTech is on virtually all of the competitors cars. The system is full stainless steel and comes with 2 1/2 cat and our own double bypass stainless muffler for the quietest ride and the least restrictive on the market.

If you compare the stock vs. the modified exhaust charts (on their site) you will see that it provides a lot more tq and hp through the entire powerband on a Type R.
Nice torque dampner for your motor. Who would've thought something so strange and simple actually made a bit of a difference.

you might want to chop part of the tipp off of that muffler, it looks like a regular muffler, but with a boner
