Default Greddy Evo falling apart!?!

Recently I have been noticing that my car has been getting louder. Well yesterday, I decided to raise the car up and check for any exhaust leaks. Everything under the car looked fine. Then I looked inside the exhaust itself and I was like "wtf??!!?" The inside of if has gone all rusty. I will take some pics tomorrow, since I dont have a camera.

What should I do? Should I buy a brand new exhaust system or can I just buy the exhaust tip itself since the piping still looks good. Anybody know where I can get an exhaust without all the piping?

I got the car with the Evo, so im not sure how long its been on the car. But all this started after all the snow. Im thinking snow got inside it, melted and then rusted it from the inside. I checked team-integra and the evo piping is 2.36 so does that mean I need to find a muffler that is also 2.36 if I want to keep the piping.
Pictures coming soon.

if you want 2.36 all the way through yes .. .if the muffler you decide on is smaller .. muffler shop can tapper it

also about getting it wet inside... mufflers get wet inside all the time .... every morning every muffler gets dew collected on the inside

yeah..i've learned to just say..."SCREW ALL GREDDY MUFFLERS".....I've had 2 sp's...both of them rusted out internally.....and now hearing about your evo, (which is a much better design than the sp)......there's something thats just not right about the overall internal design. There's a big group of people that swear by their greddy exhaust, and another big group of us that will never touch a greddy exhaust system ever again! lol.anyways, just my .02

I agree Greddy mufflers suck ***. I had an SP model on my hatch. The welds around the resonator just comletely broke. The muffler was totally gone on the inside. You could shake it and hear all the **** inside. I had a PE on my old GSR wich was okay but the packing on the inside of the muffler came apart after about a year or so. But I don't have a bad thing to say about my Apexi N1 on my turbo hatch or my Apexi WS2 on the GSR at all. APEXi

if its the whole Cat-back then Im pretty sure that you can just buy the axle back. or even just the axle back of an N-1 from Apex.

Yea i read about a lot of people having rust issues with Greddy exhausts, especially the MX and SP. I was looking into getting one for my DA but after i saw the countless posts on here and G2ic.com, i decided to go with an RS*R Exmag.

if you dont start your car properly you'll get lots of moisture built up inside the exhaust piping. That's when you see folks drive around in the morning with lots of smoke blowing out of their tail pipes.

best thing to do is get the car warmed up before taking it down the highway. the moisture eventually eats through the welds and pipes where it collects. Poor installation where its angled incorrectly could have condensation collect.

i've had my sp for almost 60,000 miles.

at 40,000 i had the resonator go.

i can hear the muffler loosining up. it has more of the buzz noise to it.

for $465 3 years ago and 60,000 miles later i can't complain.
