One of the top NSX experts once said, "For every NSX that I've seen that was selling for singificantly less than market, it turned out that there was a reason it was priced so low."
In other words - it depends. Chances are that cars selling for such a low price are going to have major problems - salvage titles and accident reconstruction, beat to crap condition, need for major mechanical work, etc.
Sure, maybe you have found the one NSX in the country that is priced $5-10K less than all the other cars of the same year and mileage and condition - but I wouldn't count on it.
If you want to see what NSXs are worth, go to the NSX FAQ and click on Buy, Sell and then on Pricing.

If you're serious, take a serious look at it... maybe the owner is in a crunch for cash. Sh*t happens all the time to the best of us!
If you really get into and it is the car you MUST have,(been there) have a PIP or complete mechanical evaluation on the car. It maybe a few hundred dollars, but ti's better than pissing away $25k on a junker.
At the very LEAST on a used car have a leak down test run. This will let you know if the motor is tired or not.

I can't imagine anyone letting a nice NSX go for $20k. I would bet the seller could drive the car into any Acura dealer and get $20k for it faster and with less hassle then most people could come up with the cash. For 20K you get what you pay for.

if your looking into buying ANY car at all, always try to do these:
-take off oil cap and inspect inside for build up
-compression test the cylinders or even a leakage if necessary
-inspect every crevice, seem, and under the car for signs of rust and body work
-Always check the title!
- drive the car. if you get a chance to rev it up a little bit, do so. listen for noises
-overall inspect car inside out.
if im about to drop over 20 grand on a car, i wanna make sure im gettin my moneys worth. good luck man
