What makes the F20B better then the H22?

it is more rev friendly. thats about it.
whatmakes an h22a better?
LOTS more parts availability since it is an engine that was in the US market.
more displacement.
they are very similar engines in msot respects though.

I have heard the f20 is a destroked h22, thats the easiest way to describe it. Also the f20 is obd2.

teh f20b has less stroke, but it also has an 85mm bore too and afaik it doesnt ahve FRM sleeves either, it alos uses a differetn injector as well.

not sure but i heard the f20b has like no midrange power and needs to rev up like a b series to make its power

yeah it does, i believe redline is 8200 on the f20b's...

won't most aftermarket parts for the h22 fit the F20B? and isn't the tranny a hydro not cable like the H series?

cams and valve springs, maybe manifolds will fit between h22a and f20b....
and both engines are hydraulic clutches with cable shifters.
honda has not done cable clutches since 1993.

How much do F20B's cost? Aren't they like 3000 compared to 2000 for the H22?

some parts do fit from the h22, header, cam gears, pulleys. not sure about internals though.

The parts in the head of the H22B are interchangeable with the f20B DOHC.
The JDM F20B actually comes in DOHC and SOHC.
The DOHC redlines at 7400-7600.
The Accords (Torneos) in my part of the world carry these engines.

the part numbers are the same for the blocks as well, which suggests that the f20b merely uses a different rod/crank setup and slightly smaller pistons...

the f20b block is not an FRM block and has iron sleeves so the part # cannot be the same....

and the automatic f20b's make 180hp vs. the manual's 200hp......what's an h22b out of?

never seen anything about that
