Been looking for ages, anyone found one yet?

I e-mailed ABS Dynamics Corp. sometime late last June about it. They replied back and said to expect it around September of 2003 because it was still under development. Yeah, that hasn't happened yet.

 

Under development? How hard can it be to make one?

I don't know, man. I don't understand why eveyrone has copied everything from the Mugen to "Type R" **** to JUN lips, yet no one has bothered with an ABS-style Spoon lip. I'd ditch my SiR front lip for an ABS Spoon in a second.

 

Newman is still waiting on the ones hes going to be selling. Just keep an eye out for jdmshit to start selling them. I want one so i can run some brake ducting for this season.

Sweet! I'll definitely be looking for it. I've been wanting one for a long time because I've never felt like paying money for a CF version.

By the way I believe the seller has more. I Emailed him about an ABS plastic one but nothing.

I agree.. you can make a damned Mugen replica ABS but can't get a Spoon one? THey all need to die.

 

2 - 6 weeks for shipping? 75 bucks for shipping to your local greyhound? Holy mackeral...2-6 weeks is a long time to wait...so basically your getting the lip for 175 shipped and its made fiberglass? im not sure if that is exactly a deal because the VIS CF one is 250 shipped in the sponsors forum. Hmmmmmm...i wish someone would just make the abs one cuz im gonna end up breaking it on the ground anyways.

any updates on the spoon abs lip?

 

Newman told me last week over the phone when i called him that it would be the end of this month or at about the beginning of next month. Then after that they'll make it in cf when they're sure of the fitment.
Can't wait for it.

 

Who is gonna be the guniea pig to order the first one? Or will Newman guarantee a good fit?

Well, I talked with the guys today about lots of different/new things coming out for this year.... EG/EK Spoon lips won't be anytime soon due to some poor management decisions who don't know how the market works..... long story short, all I can do is keep pushing them. And to answer the question about fitment, once we get something in like this, we always test fit it onto our cars before we sell them so we know if they fit, how they fit, how well they fit, and usually have pictures up to show everyone on HT, which are then usually stolen and used on other gay websites trying to sell a similar knock off. If any new news, I'll post it up.

put me down for a abs spoon style lip..i hate looking at my carbon spoon lip sitting in my room waiting for car shows..i also hate looking at my car everyday when its nice out with no lip on it

 

if there was one thing they should produce it's the EG spoon version lip, do they realize the demand and the grip of people waiting on it?

Do they think there's no profit to be made in ABS Spoon-style lips or something? Because like you already said, there are a lot of EGs out there, waiting to bolt one on. I have an EJ8, and I'm ready to remove my SiR lip for an ABS Spoon-style. At least you're aware of the demand.

i found this one place that has fiberglass ones but its pretty damn expensive... and i dont know if this place is reliable or not... any body have experience w/ these guys? im plannin on gettin my lip there since i dont feel like waiting till they finally release the abs one.

I'd rather pay the extra $50 and get the CF lip.
