Thinking of selling R for G35????
I went to an auto show today. I fell in love with the G35 Coupe. I've never wanted a car so badly (except my R). I think i want the G35 equally or more than my R. After the show, my manager let me drive his G35 sedan and I'm impressed. Financially, I can afford the G35 coupe. I would be putting about 30k (assuming my R sells quick). I don't know what to do. I've only had my R almost a yr now. Any R owners also own a G35 or have thoroughly tested one, please provide your input. thanks!

I did like G35 in debut but in northeast, is like corollas, too many on the ROAD!
Nothing special anymore because I guess of cheap lease program over 350Z.
I guess at my mid 30's I still refuse to grow up in a kinda yuppie coupe or daddy's car.
At least I know I am still individualize out of all the executive or salesmen's cars!

i personally don't like the 350z, so thats out of the question. i test drove one and almost fishtailed on the first corner. the salesman almost pissed in his pants.

I've test driven the G35 coupe three times, and borrowed one from a relative for a couple of days. As far as luxury, the R can't come close, but never did the G offer anything even close to the feel of the R on the road. It rides good, it feels good, it handles good, but as far as a total driving experience, the R delivers far more than the G does. If I were in the market for a luxury/sport coupe then the G would definately be on my list, but as for a performance car, it lacks the correct feel.

well i will admit i am not that experienced with RWD but i have driven a few. Driving the 350 to me felt like i was driving a big box. it just felt weird. thats my main reason for disliking it, i didn't get the feel i was looking for in a sports car. don't get me wrong, its a great car and i know a couple ppl who own it. its just not something i like.

Not trying to be rude, but that is not the car, it is driver error. When I first bought my S2000, I had to relearn how to drive. RWD is just different than FWD. You can't be sloppy with RWD.

The G35 and the 350Z have the same engine, probably the same transmission too. The suspension may be slightly different, since the G35 is supposed to be more of a luxury car, but I'm not sure. The G35 is also ~200 pounds heavier than the 350Z; the 350Z is already ~600 pounds heavier than the ITR.

Only the G35 Sedan does, not the G35 Coupe.

i'm not rich man. the money from my R would be down payment.
from what everyone is saying, the G35 is more luxury than sports. i prefer the sports/racing. so confused right now *sigh*

iv'e also debated the same thing. i love the g35 coupe. and i've been driving the g35 sedan for the last week, because we got one as a loaner car and i love it. and for a automatic sedan it drifts pretty well hahahah. as for changing for i don't know i love the R but i really like the g35 also. but if i were to get the g35 i would at least wait till next years model. because like the Z they are making a nismo model with more horsepower and stuff. that's just my opinion.
