Hard core seat cleaning!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, so I found some 95' Prelude seats for my coupe but there is one issue. They of course are from a junkyard and are a bit dirty. You fellow junkyarders all know how things get out there, exposed to the elements and all. SO! I need to do some deep cleanin action on these bad boys.
My question is how do I get the seat fabric off? I know it peels off but has anyone who has done this before have any tips as far as doing it right so it looks good when it is reinstalled?? Also washing instructions, I was going to soak them in the tub in cold water with some detergent. Insted of putting them in the washer on woolens. Now my educated observation is that they are all acrylic\plastic fabric right???
Basically I don't want them to fade, shrink, or strech.
If any of you pieons tells me to buy a cleaner pair, I got them at a price so **** off!

Use Woolite mixed with some water... spray it on, and use a good brush. I suppose you can add some Oxiclean in the mix too. Try to extract out all the water afterwards using a shop vac (or a carpet extracter if you have one) or use a carpet steam cleaner (like the ones you can rent at the supermarket)
I remember seeing a thread here a while ago of this guy who got a dirty *** rear seat (I think it was out of a 240sx or something) and put the whole thing in his bathtub, which was filled with Oxiclean/laundry detergent. The water in the tub was all brown
Can you post pics of the seats?

See you would think that it is the best choice, but its hard to get them try aparently. However if it was summertime here in TX, that wouldn't be a problem when it was 100* outside.
What I have gathered is if u take simple green and dilute it 1\20 that will work well. We will see........

That's not a cleaner, it's an odor-eliminator.

Nah it did harden up I was afraid it was gonna stain. I got the machine from safeway I rented it for the day. they have a hose on it so i use that plus carpet cleaner to suck it out. I did it the first time but when it dried it was still there redid again and its gone.
