Cable/Hydro tranny: Shift Linkage Differences?I've heard of a lot of people using GSR shift linkages
I've heard of a lot of people using GSR shift linkages in their CRX/Civics with b16s. What I want to know is: Does cable or hydro make a difference? My stock crx shift linkage is messssssed up and I'm missing my stab. bar [don't ask haha] and was thinking about replacing it. I have a cable-b16 can I use a Gsr/ITR shift link? Thanks!
Cable or hydro does not make a difference. You would have to shorten GSR linkage for a B-series powered CRX. How much you have to shorten it depends on the mount kit. You can use any 90 up Integra linkage and shorten it to fit. Or you could buy custom shift linkage from your mount kit manufacturer.
Thanks for the info! I think I'll just keep my stock shift link... I'll just have to find a way to get a stab bar made or something..
Believe me an SiR EF9 shift linkage is still an inch too long for a US spec '89 hatch. ANd they are both basicly the same car. Stands to reason a GSR will need modified too.
