I was wondering what vtec head to use on a crvtec. B16 or gsr head. I mean does it make a difference since i plan on getting the head ported and polished by portflow or aleniz. I plan on using jun 3 cams. The bottem end will be je 11.5 to 1 pistons with eagle rods.

 

gsr ported heads flow good. That's what I would go with

Here we go again. My recommendation will be do your research and ask different tuners, because everyone will have a different opinion. So choose the one that you trust. Since you're gonna do your head at Portflow or Alaniz ask them for their recommendation, and fill us in .

 

There will be a compression difference between the two. Do some research and figure out what you need.

 

ya the combustion chamber between the gsr and b16 heads are different. To get some killer good compression you could use the gsr head and Civic type R pistions but i'm not sure how the JE 11.5 pistons would work. depends on the shape of the dome and which car they were designed for.
