Thinking of trading in my R
It is kinda stupid on my part. This is my third car and I am only 21. My first car, I crashed being a stupid ricer out at the street races(seventeen). My second car was stolen off my driveway because I was stupid again and didn't put an alarm on it. Now I have a Type R. I have only had it for 6mos. It is a nice car and it was a hassle to get it. My dad drove me down to L.A. to test drive it and then my mom drove me down there the next week to pick it up. I think I rushed into buying it. I didn't even really mod it yet. I only have intake, Coilovers, and a camber kit. Right now I am saving for the JDM front end but I don't know if I should buy it or trade it in for an S2000. I could afford a 2004 but I think I want a 00-03. I want it dark silver with a hard top. I already talked to the dealer and he was explaining everthing to me and it sounded good. I just don't want to bring it up to my dad. He doesn't have anything to do with buying the car but he hates how I change my mind about things. If I tell him I am going to trade in my car, at first he will tell me not to do it but if I say I still want to get it, he will just say screw it and not say anthying to me for a while. He does that all the time. He treats me like I am a kid.
Basically what I want to do is either keep the R and mod the **** out of it and buy a shitty car for a daily driver, since I drive over a thousand miles a week or trade in my R for a S2000 and do a few things to and keep that as my daily driver. I am kinda leaning toward the S2000. Thanks for any replies

I think the S2000 is more my style. I just don't want to **** my dad off.
Imagine an Dark silver S2000 with a 2004 conversion on the front with a carbon hood, carbon trunk with spoiler, Bride seats, I/H/E, hondata, 70mm throttle body, Tein flex, strut bars, 16inch spoon sw388, and spoon calipers. I know I am leaving some stuff out but you guys get the picture.

I think you should enjoy your car and focus on more important things, like your education.
Its too easy to get wrapped up in cars and bling... just say no!

Um, you know nothing about me. My parents didn't pay for my car. I work at a hospital, so I have pretty good income for how young I am. I am also going to school full time to be an X-ray tech. So don't sit there and try to come up with some smart *** comments. Maybe you should join clubsi if your just going to talk ****.

Just a question then....if its YOUR money and YOUR car and you want an S2000, then get it. I don't understand why your father would care what you do if your paying for it and its your car....

That is a lot of damn miles. I think you should get a daily driver either way.
Also tell your dad you may change your mind often when it comes to cars but you are focused with your career. The X-ray Tech schooling and working at the hospital should prove that.
Then add that he should be happy that his son can afford such nice things. (That could backfire on you though)
:edit:
Or buy him a 6 pack and he'll be happy

You read my mind .RJ Sounds like you should be worrying about more important stuff. Your parents are too nice. You payed for all of the cars you've owned thus far with your own money?

Sounds like you have little time to use an ITR or S2000 for what it was intended for with those parts anyway. Carbon trunk? What the fvck for?

Yes, been there, done that! I was 21 when I had my gsr and built it up to fulfill myself, then I got the itr and did the same thing
. It distracted me from school and I wish some of that money I could have invested in property or elsewhere.
The blinging car will come around later!
