Default t3 t4 turbo on b16

Here's my problem I am dealing with two different people one runs a machine shop and is telling me I need to do pistions, rings, rods, and so on and if I don't I am going to blow somthing. The other guy runs a speed shop and does a lot of turbos, he said all I need to do is change my headgasket and injectors and I will be fine. I am going to be running 12PSI on a daily driven car. Who should I listen too?

a little bit of both 12 psi is a little much for a stock b16 you could probably skate by with the head gasket if you have some good tuning

well both are correct, but to go with 12 you would need some very good tuning and it is still pushing the limits of your internals. I would rebuild the internals, or atleast upgrade them, along with gasket to be on the safe side, but that is me. Always safe than sorry!

with an inline pro headgasket (lowers compression about 1 point )
550 injectors, 255lph intank fuel pump and hondata w/ good tuning

12 psi would be fine

look around in the FI forum
tons of info in there

If you haven't done the research on what is needed to boost your B16 then why have you set a goal of 12psi? Don't set a psi goal, set a hp goal.
