Default ITR shock forks: Do the numbers on them distinguish them or mean anything?

As a check of my rideheight issue, I brought a shock fork that I knew was an ITR part with me to compare against. They *appeared* to be the same size, but was a little hard to tell with the one on the car. I did notice that each had markings on it that were different from the other. Do they indicate a type r specific part? Are the shock forks even different, model to model?

Here's the numbers..

On the car:
On the curved part of the arm it has the number 18
On the straight part, sideways, it reads 4GV

On the one I brought:
On the curved part it had the number 26
On the straight part: 6AX

As a side note, I peaked at the driver's side and it had 22 on the curved part. I forgot to write down the straight part's numbers and I didn't have a driver's side shock fork to compare to anyhow..

I tad over concerned about the ride height of the premium like new ITR setup you have of mine, not really noone "paying attention"

no, i meant had anyone looked at theirs before.. not were they reading my post..

well, i know it's not the shocks and springs being incorrect.. so i'm eliminating all possibilities before attributing it to just needing to settle..

I would like to know this as well.

I have a hatch I've swapped my 5-lug over to, but one of the shock forks I had is bent and I will need to purchase another one to use the itr shocks and tein s-tech springs on it. Will any dc2 front shock fork work, or will I need an itr specific part?

Ok, I had a chance to look at the front left shock fork from my '00 itr donor....

Here are the markings:

34
0d3
VL

AND Len tells me that the p/n's for all 97+ integra's is the same for the front shock forks..... (left and right respectively)

Now I'm really confused.....

They are all the same. Not just ITRs, but every Integra sold from 94-01.

The markings are probably control numbers for the casting process - they probably change with every piece made or with a predetermined batch quantity.

Well I have two itr shock forks that I got from Cosworth. I don't know what year itr they are from, but here are the markings:

Right: obp on the straight part, VR at the top, 32 on the curved part.

Left: obp on the straight part, VL at the top, 30 on the curved part.

exactly the same?

hmm.. interesting.. the one fork i had, that I *know* is an ITR fork, is marked with a 26.. unfortunately, I didn't pay close enough attention to what was marked on the straight parts of any of the 3.. I guess I'll have to look when I bring it out of storage on the 15th..

I'm still at a loss as to whether i have the right forks or not.. we've talked about this a reasonable amount lately(well, Ken and I keep talking about it anyhow ), so I don't know how much further we can get with all this either..

I take his word

if its off an ITR or other Integra... its the same part
