Can a Type R beat a Celica GT-S 6 speed, I was on a celica site, and they claim 14.4-14.7 1/4 mile times. Is it true because I have never seen a Celica GT-S run better than a 15.5. They are talking about beating WRX's and RSX's and Tegs. Just wanna know what you guys think.

So are they full of it or what. I have a 03 6speed Accord and I walk all over Celica's and my car run's a 14.4 in the 1/4 mile.

you know coming to a type-r specific forum is going to give you biased opinions and (facts)

 

1/4 mile

 

15.5 sounds like a stock Celica GT-S 1/4 mile time...
Type R's aren't made for the drap strip
equal drivers should get faster times in an R! (rated 15hp more from the factory)

The guy on the celica site said the GT-S runs 14.9 stock. But he got his to run a 14.7 stock.
