Default EK console and arm rest into EG

Well, I did this awhile ago when my friend wrecked his EK....lucky Jon you

And finally decided to post some pics up....I'll have a write up in a little bit...time to go have fun
Short term Fall and Winter mod for all the drives across state I make to the parents house. IT's coming back out in the next month when the Autopower bar and seat go in....

Not QUITE OEM as I'd like...but it fits VERY well for little hacking...

seriously....I can actually fit a drink in there

The arm rest is probably 3x bigger than the EG one also...I can fit like 4 CD's and my tire pressure gauge in there.

You need to cut some of the panel that holds the lighter and pocket, and then some of the tin behind that....took about an hour to make it fit perfect. I can kick it and it won't move

I want to do this in my car also. Is there any modifications you need to do. Or does it just bolt right in. I heard it bolt's right in. I just want to double check. And when your sitting in your car is the gap under the ash tray the only gap that is noticeable, and how noticeable is it??

Because I've thought about getting the EK console, or just getting a Integra GSR Dash cuz I have the full center console for the integra.... Please let me know. Thank you.

when sitting in the car, you can't see any gaps or anything. I took pictures of the worst angles, to try and not mislead anyone about how it fits.

It's pretty straight forward. You have to hack the panel that holds the pocket, under the lighter, and cut away some metal behind that. Then it drops right in

me too man, me too

but i dunno now...i might actually sell my console and get that just for the cup holders...i only bought the console to drop the head unit and put gauges where my stock radio would go, but with this i can have that AND still retain my cup holders...hmm

I think I am going to do this instead of trying to locate the eg armrest and audio console.

arm rest is bigger than the EG one, and the pocket holds a lot more...lol

nice observation!. The shifter does sit a little more forward in the EK boot....but you still have plenty of movement. When it's in neutral, it loks like 1st with a short shifter.

I hate you Emerika...you do too much cool stuff...
I have a dremel...would that suffice for cutting and what not...Ima go get one today (monday)....This local parts store (JDMSTAR) gets rid of stuff for seriously cheap. My buddie got used but still in super clean, running shape...Zeal shocks for his eg PLUS type R rear lowers for 400 bucks...no bullshit. I can prob. get that fO cheap.

dope man....I used some metal snips....10 bucks at Sears

You will see where you need to trim to slide the cup holder assembly into

OH and to add one more thing....

I made a little metal support that fit under the pcket part of the cup holder. I bent each side and used a nut and bolt into the side of the console, you will see in the pic the phillips head.

This will add some support to the cup holder and pocket for heavie objects
