Default DX/HF/Si B18C5 Wiring Differences

Pretty straightforward, I am in the process of finding a clean Si to to swap a jdm GSR motor into, and realize this means I need a conversion harness to convert to the right OBD version. Im having NO luck finding an Si with no rust that hasnt been raped by some silly ricer, and dont want some car that was beaten to **** all its life. I have found quite a few DX's and HF's, how much harder is the wiring going to be in those models? Also, I can swap in the Si cluster/suspension/brakes, correct? Thanks for any help. I have searched a bit but all I find are little bits and pieces of info, I'm sure someone who has done this swap will have some good info for me.

See, everyone is slowy finding out how TRULY hard it is to find a low mile VG+ CRX Si. I've been looking for one, myself for almost a year. I'm prepared to pay up to 4k, even. Sill no luck.
The Hf would be easier than DX as it is already MPFI, that's the same as the Si. But a DX would need to be converted to MPFI, before you could do anything else with the car. Then, add an OBD jumper.
Haha, an ex-girlfriend used to live in Kingston. Get very cold up there.

If you're going to do the GSR swap the wiring shouldn't be that much of a problem anyway. You'll already have the bay torn apart... Si's are heavier anyway if i were looking to put a nice GSR engine in a car i would put condition of car (rust, paint, etc.) over the model trim level when buying.

EDIT: My Dx was wired for OBD1 and as long as you find the right Pinouts/wiring diagrams online it shouldn't be that hard. Just a few days of hardcore concentration.

I was hoping that it would be a drop in using one or a few of the Hasport conversion harnesses. Wiring is my weak point :/ I was also looking forward to having the better Si suspension and 4 wheel disc brakes. Guess I'll just keep looking

HF will be easier to start with, but both DX and HF require adding wires for Vtec, Oil pressure, 2nd O2 sensor, and knock sensor. DX will need 3 xtra wires for the xtra injectors. I decided to make a third harness instead of butchering my stock harness. You will need to make some adjustments at the connectors to the ECU as far as switching some pins, but plenty of info is available on this board for that. Also you'll need shift linkage, motormounts, axles, and ECU. You might find you need a throttle cable, and don't forget you've got a cable tranny and if you pick up a motor from a GSR w/ hydro tranny that's a whole nother conversion.

The MPFI swap was not that hard, it took me a weeked to do the swap, and then a week to wait for some parts from honda to finish it.
I think with the HF the only real obsticle is the hubs. They are the wrong size and will have to be swapped out with DX, or Si hubs.
Good luck..
