My parking lights won't turn off!!!!
Ok, here's the back ground info....the guy who had my 97 Accord S.E. (4door) tried to wire up the front bumper turn signal to stay on w/ the parking lights. To make a long story short it didn't work....I don't know how he tried to run them but in order to turn my parking lights off I have to take out the fuse under the hood. The driver side turn signal housing has a huge melt spot on it. I'm gonna replace the driver and pass headlight harness, but I think it's something else....I need help asap!!!!
Sounds like he wired it to a "hot" line.....or just doesn't know his electrics very well...I would just undo what he did and search for bumper mods....some guy on here did a diy using a civic socket, hope this helps
wow...good one. replace everything that guy touched and start over. if its all wiring you shouldnt get his too bad in the pocket book..
Ok, I completely took out the driverside headlight harness (yesterday) and it's still doing the same thing, except now you here indicater tone when I put the fuse back in. Do you think the switch is burned out?

Get a dual filament socket and use that. wire it up to the signal then use the other wire to tap the parking light. </TD></TR></TABLE>
And have your friend that wired it in the first place and broke it pay for this new socket. And if you like smack him too

Here is also a note.....turn your car off and also don't have the lights in the "on" position when working on them...you can damage some electrics and burn bulbs too......plus its safer too.

LMAO, I am the only one who touches my car...cuz if it breaks then I know who to blame. (besides the tools that put it on)

I have my original sockets from when i did this mod....
let me know if you need them
you need to find out where the wire is going to from the bumper lights and disconnect it.....

Relays should be in engine bay or under steering column area.....not 100% sure. But I would put money on the wiring looks like the sTuNNA strikes again.
