It can be used on a street car, the turning takes slight more effort but is doable. Will not allow for autoXing though. And will cause more wear on axles so aftermarket ones are also a good idea.

If your asking what it does, its a "locker" basically. Keeps both axles at the same speed at all times. Installs same as any LSD in the tranny, but is slightly tougher on axles and makes turning somewhat harsher, used mainly for drag racing.
