Well if you remembed I rearended a minivan Friday before last and was in desparate need for parts. Well Sunday I picked up a hood already painted my color (BG-33P Paradise Blue Pearl), and last night I picked up the whole front clip minus hood from my friend's 2000 black GS-R (B18Cwon on here).
Today my grandfather and I dove into trying to get everything bolted up, because it has SUCKED driving around a wrecked car for the past 1.5 weeks.
I forgot to take pics before removing the old hood, so here is the results of the collision w/o the hood, bumper is scuffed and pushed back behind the fender (rad. support was pushed back also), and the headlight was completely torn to pieces. I had a halogen bulb in there solely to keep from getting a ticket.
Here's the old hood, bent up and catching air on the interstate.
Test fitting the bumper, headlights, and fender... the right headlight was a b*!ch to get in there right because of the radiator support being bent back along the top:
Here it is with everything installed, including hood and ITR lip... ohhh it looks sooo much nicer, even though the color doesn't match... hey it looks like a CF front end from a distance
I went ahead and got the driver side fender, also, since the hole for the sidemarker is too big, and I want to replace them w/ OEM Stanley sidemarkers instead of the imitation ones on there now. I opted not to install the left fender yet since I will be removing the fender to make the holes for the new sidemarkers anyway.
Unfortunately it may very well be after I graduate this May before I am able to paint it.
But oh well, my car isn't broken anymore, and I finally put my HID's back in, because driving at night with only a single 9006 halogen bulb doing anything useful is really crappy after being used to HID's.
Soooo if anybody wants to contribute to my paint fund, send me an IM

did you switch the fronts because of the cost? or did you like the 98-up better/available? If you don't mind me saying, the 94 front is a little neater, but I agree on the latter if the price was right. Good luck on the rebuild, hahah F minivans.......
It feels a lot better when you replaced something yourself, rather than paying someone to do it! This way you know it was done right and not Half-***. Good Job!
Patrick your right, theres not too many Paradise blue tegs with the 98+ front end. In fact i've never seen one
Post some pics after its painted

glad to see someone making a sensible front end change because it was needed...

I think I'll be maybe the 3rd BG-33P Integra w/ the 98+ front end.

Then hopefully I can be the 4TH. Damn, looks like everything worked out in your favor, the car looks excellent. Post up some pics when you get her painted.

Looks better. If your car was wrecked and you can't to afford to paint it, that's okay. It's only ghetto when your car is in perfectly good condition and you put a mismatched body part to fix it.
Good luck.

Good luck.
i agree with JMS JT. Better to drive the car with a fixed front end and headlights that doesn't match then a busted up car
I say leave it black
lol j/k

oh man, the 98+ front end w/ ITR lip looks 623423423x better than my old 94 bumper. The 98+ is one piece vs. the 2-piece 94-97 bumper, not to mention the more aggressive opening in the bumper w/o that center bar. And then the headlights are MUCH more aerodynamic.

Well it looks pretty ghetto underneath the body panels. We had to drill out the spot welds connecting the radiator support to the passenger side frame, use a 2x4 to pry the top of the rad. support forward, then used my scissor jack to twist the top of the rad. support back towards the correct angle (it was sloping down slightly). Then we drilled more holes thru the rad. support and frame and put bolts through them.
Backyard bodywork, I know it sucks but it's all I could do. I can't pull my coolant tank out of the bracket anymore unless I unbolt the entire airbox, because the headlight's left/right adjustment guage sits farther back than it used to and there isn't enough room between that and the airbox to get the coolant tank out.
Oh well, consequences I have to pay I guess.

not me, I like the stock color, plus I can't afford to get a quality paint job that changes the color of the car. The only way I would do it is if I got the engine bay painted and I sure as hell can't afford that.
