Ok so about a week and a half ago I had talked to salbaje about his p28 ecu that he was trying to sell along with the gsr cams that he was selling. At that time I was selling the Band of Brothers Box Set and some other Misc Car Parts. We had decided that if I sent him the Band of Brothers DVD Box Set, the 16 brand new Honda Lug Nuts that I was selling, and $25 then we could exchange for the p28. We decided that was a fair deal, so I immediatly Paypaled him the $26 (included the 3% that Paypal charges) on Nov. 29th.

Since then I have talked to him occassionally and he told me that the p28 was in his other civic that was in the body shop being worked on and he said that he was going to get the car back on Thursday (Dec. 4th) and then he would mail it out on that Friday (Dec. 5th). I contacted him on Saturday (Dec. 6th) and asked him if he sent it out and he told me that he went to the shop his car was being worked on and the car was in the paint booth so he could not get it out at that time. I said that was cool and just keep me posted.

Since then I have not heard hide nor hair from the guy. I PM him at least one time a day asking him if he has heard anything and everyday I get the same response, which is NOTHING. I haven't received a response from him since Dec. 6th. All I want is an update on what is going on or paypal me back my $26. He just recently posted in the "feels wide bodykit for 92-95 civic" thread in the classifieds on Dec. 16th @ 10:02PM.....don't you think that if would have logged on and made a post that my PM would be there???

Point of the matter is that all I want is an update on the ECU or send me my $26 back. Hate that I had to turn to this solution, but it was my last resort. I mean I have been screwed before and I am not going to get screwed again!

then please explain to me reasoning on why he would ignore someone that has sent him a down payment on something and has not responded to him in over a week????

this is a very busy time of year for people and it is only 26 bux so that probably doesn't make it a #1 priority... not returning your PMs though is wack.
i am sure this will get some attention either way.

 

sometimes when people pm me I close it on instinct type behavior. I just close it.. and like 5 minutes later I find myself looking through the PM list for that person haha.. maybe that happened and he's still lookin for it.. or.. I don't really know..

been pretty active on the threads....even been busying trying to sell his own bodykit on here, but can't get back to someone that has already paid him?

 

i've notcied people over-worrying this alot. Some sellers just don't have good business etiquette. Patience is required when dealing with busy people. $26 doesn't seem worth it to ruin your rep on HT. and he's around alot. He's offered to sell me multiple things. just my $.02. You'll probably get the ECU or your money back one way or another.

 

i have bought from him with no problems.

 

I just don't see how you can be on multiple times in a 10 day span and not give someone a simple update of what is going on with a pending sale. Yeah it may only be $26, but you know what? That's $26 more than he had the day before and that's $26 less that I have and I have nothing to show for it. What would you guys be saying if I would have already sent him the DVD Box Set and Lug Nuts? That it still isn't that big of a priority since it's not $100's of dollars? Point is that I have paid for something that I am entitled to and I am not trying to ruin anyone's "H-T Reputation" or anything like that, but when you have tried to contastly contact someone via pm and they obviously are not getting back to you, then you need to get a hold of them some how and this is the only other way to get his attention.

Again I would much rather have an update of what is going on with the ECU so that I can get it soon to go on with my rebuild then get my $26 back, but right now all I want is an answer from him and I don't think that's too much to ask.

 

i am having the same problem with salbaje. i have pmed him nearly everyday and emailed him. i did an axle trade with him and he has my axles but hasnt sent me his axles yet. i hear he is busy but still i need my axles as it was part of the deal! he contacts me every now and then telling me not to worry i will get them but i havent seen them yet. i dont think it is a scam but i do think he is taking his time which i cant deal with right now. let me know if you get a hold of him. thanks

agreed!! i have been waiting 2 weeks on a trade that was suppose to be sent out on the same day. how is that justified?

 

salbaje is not a scammer i know him personally and would not scam...like said previously he is a busy person either way you will here from him and get your parts or your money

 

it seems you are right. i think this thread may have helped though. 5 minutes ago i finally got an email explaining why he hasnt mailed the axles yet and stating that he is going to mail them by the end of the weak. i will clear all of this up once i recieve them

 

I'm sure everything will be ok. He is a good seller on h-t.

He is a busy guy,but he is a really good dood.Im pretty sure everything will turn out alright.

 

Just received email from salbaje and he said that he is going to be able to get it shipped out on Friday.....

salbaje is a good guy. i have known him for about 4 years. he is just busy, i live 10mins from him and it still takes a couple of phone calls to get threw to him. im sure you will get a payback for what he owes you. and it is just 26 bux. i have lost alot more and gave less of a complaint.
