holy shit!!! Integra rally car!!!
Check this out, I found it on the web. The team got third place in Group 2 at that Oregon Trail ProRally back in July, beating out factory teams Dodge and Mazda. The car is listed on pg. 134 in December issue of SCC. We need more people doing stuff like this!
let me clarify. you seem to be interested in rally cars. if youre interested in hondas and rally, this is not the best forum. im not saying this shouldnt be posted either. but this isnt currently a rally forum. hondas arent new to rally.

So no more conversations about HPDEs, either? Fantasy football is OK, if you put OT in the title. Please.
Rallying is perfectly appropriate in this forum. Dry asphalt, wet asphalt, muddy asphalt (TH 25 hrs.), NO asphalt - who cares.

EDIT - how many people here know that some guy named Cunningham won a Production Rally championship in an Acura in the early '90s? Some outfit called Real World or Full Time Racing or some such...

Yeah, Thats my friend Dereks car. We go to college together were always shooting the **** about our cars and stuff like that. Def. have some cool **** done to their car.
After taking an SCCA Rally School, I keep telling myself that the only reason I'm going into road racing instead of rallying is because rallying costs more.
I suspect that I'm just too scared to do it.
(Nice to see some Hondas repping against them Vdubs in Group 2)

I know Blake Fuller ran his ITR @ Pikes Peak a few times and I was amazed at how good his body looked (im talking like paint and stuff here.) No visible damage whatsoever. He said the rally really farked up his OEM LSD though...
Pike's Peak is not that challenging on chasis', as all of the stages are gravel or tarmac, and the services are not as rough as forest stage rallies. Hearing about an ITR doing hillclimb makes me cringe though...

tell me where anyone said speaking about rally cars is unappropriate here.
honestly tho, theres no reason to give a "h0ly $hit!" about em either.

As far as I am concerned, rallying (dirt or otherwise) is closer to the original spirit of road racing then then IT or other racing on a road course is. There I said it. Think Pre-WWII and then again in the 50's and 60's before you jump on my case, ok? It was originally called road racing because it was done on actual roads. Races were run by municipalities in Europe and later the western hemisphere to increase tourism, and for local or national pride. Where was I going with this? OK, point is I do give a chit... but agree that a holy one isn't necessary, because as stated, a Honda rallying isn't a new thing by any means.
BTW, anyone know who might make OTS rally shocks for a 91 Civic? Not that I am going to start rallying, but because I live in Michigan, and it might increase the life of my suspension. Stupid Michigan roads. We have 2 seasons here, road construction or potholes

Sounds like Maine. We have four seasons, however: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Construction.

Rallying is a form of racing. Be it on gravel or asphalt (tarmac). To say that rallying doesn't belong in the road race section is probably one of the more ignorant comments I've heard.
Honda's double wishbone isn't exactly conducive to rallying (i.e. it bends easily, more parts to break, etc.). It still doesn't mean you shouldn't rally a Honda. If you wanted to broaden your driving ability, rallying would compliment some of the skills you HPDE students need to cultivate (left foot brake, loose car).
