Is $7K good for a Black '96 GSR w/ 81K miles, cloth, no mods, 1 female owner???
if it has had timing belt, water pump change then yes...otherwise your going to have to do it by 90k....some people change it earlier...integra check list:
take it for a drive....any rattle that sounds like a damn bee in the engine is gonna be teh heat sheild....she may not know that though...lol..so try to get discount...
the main thing is the maintenence...timing belt/water pump

She replaced the timing belt and the radiator at 76K...but not the water pump. When do water pumps need to be replaced and how much do they cost? What could be the problem with the heat shield...how much does it cost? Anything else I shoud be worried about? Thanks.
the heat sheild is not really a problem, just something that tends to come loose and annoy/embarass the **** out of you but you can take the heat sheild off yourself and eliminate the problem

i would say to jump on it right away, if its in good condition.
before i found a killer deal on my current GS-R, most of the other ones i looked at were around $7k but had over 100k miles and needed some maintanance.
good luck

Just think about it this way; The more you knock off the price of the car, the more money you can put into the car after you get it. Definately mention to the woman driver that the water pump needs to be changed. Did she tell you why she changed the radiator?

Do it man, bought my 94 2.5 yrs ago w/ 89K on it for $6500, it was worth $8K at the time. Mine was also female owned, and boy howdy did she look after that car, all maintenance kept up with. Clock is at 152K now and still running like a top, zero oil leaks and negligible oil burning.
Oh and I'm still on the original water pump at 152K, no signs of failure.

I BOUGHT IT...but for $7,500. She had listed it at $8,000 and I was apparently the first to reply to the add because I was able to talk her down to $7,000 over the phone. When I showed up in the afternoon to test drive she said she had recieved tons of calls and could not sell it for $7,000. The car was PERFECT. She was the only owner and it has been garaged from day 1. No dings, scratches or stains ANYWHERE. When I revved it to 7K RPM she was visibly nervous as the engine got louder and she informed me that she usually changes gears at 5K RPM. The clutch was like new! ALL RECORDS including water pump, timing belt and radiator changed at 72K (she was wrong before and showed me the records). Anyhow, I had to have the car so we settled on $7,500 and both of us were happy. The only problem is no alarm but I think I will just buy THE CLUB. Thanks for the info everybody.
