Default Pictures of Oval Exhaust installed

hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong portion of the site, but I just recently purchased a Vibrant Oval Exhaust muffler from The B(h-t member).

the tip of the exhaust is about 3 inches long and when I installed it, I put the exhaust a bit to close to the bumper but now I can't install the hangers/metal hooks to hold the exhaust to the car.

Does anybody have a picture of how the oval exhaust would look like installed on a EG/EJ

thanks

*Tom, if this is in the wrong section I'm sorry, and since I'm a trial member, could you please move this to appropriate section.

thanks

Why to Magnaflow? Have you heard the Magnaflow ovals? They are sweet as cherry pie.

Does he have a decent resonator? All mufflers sound like **** without a resonator.

Lol, sounds like someone who is riding the jdm es oval bandwagon. I have a custom bent 2.5in SS exhaust with 22in Magnaflow resonator and Magnaflow muffler on the rear. Nice and deep, great flow, SS to prevent rust (even though I painted it all black).

Magnaflow has been doing mufflers for ages, I'd trust them before some no name JDM company.

Magnaflow

If I can find a pic of mine, I'll try to put it up for you. Looks similar to the one posted above though.

lol... funniest reply I have read on this thread. I had both and the quality of the magnaflow oval was a thousand times better. ES is alright but for the price, I think they could have built it better.

$60 magnaflow stainless steel muff>$125 ES muffler.

Hey guys, thanks for the reply's.

My exhaust was sticking out way too much, that I couldn't weld the "hangers" on the front but the side. So we cut down on the piping in the rear and it seems that the exhaust will need a extension on the tip for the exhaust gasses to pass out through the rear bumper.

Did anybody have this situation before????
thanks for the reply's so far

It depends on the resonator that he's running. I had this shitty as resonator from this exhaust shop, and my exhaust sounds like ****, it would rattle really bad at around 3000rpm, but since then I change to a summit racing resonator and now it sounds much better. its quieter now and not rasp as before.

1.)Magnaflow is a mucho better product than ES for the money. You can get a stainless magnaflow for $60 off ebay brand new. They both sound exactly the same

2.)when I see a car with a tipless oval muffler, I don't think sleeper. I think "hey that car is probably fast and they want everyone to think its not"

3.)I'm pretty sure ES is not a jdm company. I was on their website one time, and I believe they are fom cali.

IMHO...i think the ES oval looks way better than the Magnaflow. I know you guys are going to say function over form but they basically do the same thing. i'd rather look better than save $$
