Just frame sliders
I have a 02' 954 and I really like it but I want to protect it. If i just get a pair of frame sliders and maybe some on the swingarm, is that going to protect the entire body?! Kind of a newbish question but I just wanted to be sure, thank in advance!!
It can protect your fairings, but it's not a 100% guarantee against damage. You could drop it on a specific object, like the curb, which might not be deflected by the frame slider.
You can compare them to airbags in a passenger car. They don't help in every situation but if they do you're damn glad they're there. Sliders are also very cheap for what they do. And even if it only tips over in the driveway and takes out your clip and mirror, the cost of painting or not having to paint one panel alone will cover a pair of sliders. If you're only street I wouldn't recommend swingarm sliders. They tend to cause more harm then good on the rough street surface. Many swingarm sliders are also just hollow anodized aluminum. For frame sliders look for simple plastic ones. Metal will catch and spark. The pretty stuff is made to be pretty. Plastic wears smoothly and SLIDES. I've seen a bike take an easy lowside, then catch on metal sliders and proceed to flip and destroy itself. Also look for sliders that bolt to the frame, not ones that replace fairing bolts. Those snap off during any at speed impact, but will help in a simple tipover.

Yeah, they're a million cages out there now. That one looks like a powersports or the ones the krazy white boys rock.
But you got F.I. cages, Metals Masters, 905racing.com, MXDcages, Atlanta Stunt Junkies. Those are the only ones i can think of right now.

I don't believe there is a single brain cell on that mud hill.
