Need help, 92 cx mini me vtec wire.

Default Need help, 92 cx mini me vtec wire.

can some one tell me where the vtec wires are at, and how to wire it.

You need a p28 ecu first of all. Second, you’ll need to get an engine plug from a junkyard for the VTEC solenoid oil pressure.

You can see mine here, it’s big and yellow:


Here is what the back of your ECU plugs look like:


You’ll need to run the blue wire (or whichever color is from the plug) to pin D6, and then run the black ground wire from the plug to anywhere on the motor. You then need to run the green wire from the VTEC solenoid to pin A4.

THAT’S IT! YOU’RE FINISHED! Make sure you’re not throwing any CEL’s, if you are, go back and check your work.

im not 100% sure but i thought all civics have vtec wire to the shock tower, so he wouldn't actually have to go back to the ecu

Bingo, what he can do is actually buy an ex or si wiring harness and just swap out his whole harness. Or just get the plug and wire it up to his shock tower harness.
