Action 2ks vs Act xt/ss Need some input.
Well im about to make a power jump and my oem clutch isnt going to cut it anymore. So heres my dilemna Iv'e always went with Act, Ive ran the act h/d and then xt. Both were nice, obviosly the extreme grabbed harder and the pedal was stiffer, but on this car/setup I wanted something that would hold the power with a softer pedal than the xt/ss.
My goal for this next step is 300/250 so the hd/ss isnt going to cut it. So it's between the act xt/ss and the action 2ks. Im looking for input from people running the 2Ks or even better someone who has ran both.
How is the pedal feel, engagement, any noises? I hear f some occasioinal rpobs with the action 2md making noise, but havent seen any problems form the 2Ks
Thanks guys

Yeah on my last turbo setup I started with the act hd/ss then i upgraded to the xt/ss ill admit it took a bit to get used to it in stop and go, but my last car had no a/c, no power steering, xt/ss, it was like my beater race car
When i bought this car it came with stock clutch and ill admit ive gotten used to it and man i wish there was a clutch with oem feel and still able to support the extra power.
Unfortunately you have to give a little to get a little.

c'mon guys! whose all got the Action 2ks?? and what can u say about it? lets get some help here!
ACT XT/SS is proven. 2ks is nice cause you can choose how much peddle pressure you want. that would be nice for when Alecia becomes the designated driver!

Yeah thats another reason i hardly drive the car when we go out, but it would still be nice to know that if she needed to she could drive it.
Bump for a clutch that my girl could drive

driven a 2ks and have a 2md myself.
GREAT clutches.
the ks is a little easier to engage but pedal pressure on both (md and ks that ive driven) were the same. the md's noise issue is nothing to worry about at all..it only happens once a week or so and thats when you have a not to good shift..(too much gas ) and even then..its not loud at all
im not sure on the torque ratings for the ks( i think its 250) but i would opt for that one over the md if your worried about it and especially if your girl may drive the car. talk to 2k Teg about it.

Here's a post from Rocket when the clutches were sold as a group buy...
"Stage 2 KS will hold up to 250ft-lbs torque and enagement will be smoother than stock (if properly installed). This is the ideal clutch if you like smooth engagement a firm pedal and a clutch that will last forever. The segmented kevlar disc used in this clutch is a favorite among mechanics here in LA for their personal cars."
I have the Stage 2KS clutch. In the beginning, it took some getting use to because the pedal pressure was like
. Now that I am use to it, it feels like stock with the capability of holding the power.

I'm really happy with my 2kd, its quiet and grabs hard, the pressure is a little heavy compared to my other cars with stock like clutches.

Who sells the Action clutches . . . anyone that I see promoting them never has a # to call. Mine went out today pretty much so I'll be jumping on a 2MD or XT/4puck like tomorrow.
Iggy I say you just stick with what we already know works...ACT XT-SS. I don't even notice mine anymore it just feels normal. I don't even think about it in traffic either..to me it feels like stock now. It's funny now though when I take the stock LS beater to work sometimes...it has no pedal pressure at all!
great thread at a great time that i'm shopping for a new clutch.
well does HP matter or is it all about how much TQ your making when picking a clutch. meaning for odd setups like say b16 300whp 200tq..... are you simply saying a regular exedy 241lbs-tq can hold it?
is there a such thing as getting a OVER KILLED clutch?
is there anything wrong with doing that? ... faster wear ect?
I'm looking to make about 235tq MAX
looking for the best clutch as in soft pedal feel, and grabing power...
