Would u trade?
Just curious guys, would u trade your itr for a turbo awd car.. say an audi s4 or an sti? Anyone compared driven them compared to the type r? Thinking about the advantages of say an s4 or an sti...turbo,awd,not as many thieves, would u do it?
never. arent you aware of the phrase "it aint a tYte kar if it aint a hYpe arrR"?

jk maybe if I could afford an STi or EVO, I would. I think they are great cars and like both of them a lot.

S4? Nah.
STi? Nah. Fine car but it doesn't appeal to me.
Current Evo? Nah. It appeals to me but there is something missing ...
Evo 8 GSR w/6 speed and Super AYC (if we ever get it here in the states from Mitsu USA)? Yeah.

S4 is a fun car if you like luxury and power. They are pretty fun to drive. But there is too many gadgets on it. The ITR is a pure driver's car. Nothing you don't need.
If thieves are your worry, then yeah I would trade. But if you have a garage and a beater, keep the R.

The big difference on the JDM Evo and the current USDM is mainly the AYC which would be great to have , but went it comes to a 5-speed vs 6-speed even some UK owners prefer the 5-speed .
6 speed doesnt make much of a difference plus the 5-speed gearing is more then enough ...

keep the answers coming...lets say a BMW 540i 6 speed were among the choices, how would that affect you? I was thinking about the 540i, just think the possibilities, its luxury...swap in m5 internals and a couple of bolt on's and u are at 450hp..and still pimping..without the insurance of an M5...or hell, supercharge it and u have a killer car on your hands...most people say they wont give up their itr, but very few have driven these cars
My R lives right down the street from an STi and my car gets more looks than the STi, more compliments than the STi, and more people revving than the STi. I know this because I'm good friends with the STi owner. I'm happy and you should be too.

FYI, you can't just swap internals of a M5 into a 540, completly different engines. Anyway I find this post pretty useless, the cars listed are all more expensive than an ITR and are for different types of buyers. Sorry to rain on you're parade

LOL. clueless. You dont know your BMW's.

I really like S4's, but I feel if you compare the two cars(S4 and type-r) the type r is a better car. S4"s aren't as fast as you might think, I drove one and was disappointed.
it's very tempting, but look at the rarity of the type r. These turbo awd cars are becoming the hit now a day, everyone is getting into these cars. I personally would keep my ITR just to be different from everyone else.
yes i dont know **** about Beemer's...just assumed that since the two of them were v8's from the same line that they would only differ in internals...kinda like how the LS and Type R differ in internals
the post is not useless...u could get a wrx for about the same price as an sti, then converting it to an sti would be a matter of how much money you'd be willing to spend on mods... u could get a used s4 for less than 25k which is what a 2000 itr goes for... I didnt say price was a factor, i just asked performance wise...Besides the insurance on an itr would more than make up for the difference in price...try paying insurance in NJ on an itr... Insurance doesnt like cars that have a high theft rate
