Default Left foot braking?

I hear that left foot braking can be advantageous to front wheel driven cars especially if they are equiped w/ LSD. Can anyone explain why or it this is true??

if you watch those best motoring videos. Gansan, does this....i think he does it to "settle" the car before coming into a turn. Maybe to pump the brakes...anyone else?

I use it often in autox, sometimes on the track.. Its just a way to help rotate the car and NOT loosing momentium. You keep your right foot on throttle.

Left foot braking is helpful to balance the car by transfering a little weight to the front without having to take your foot off the throttle.

IMO, LFB is the only way to drive a FWD car in the snow. In the snow, I like to turn the car into a corner, then as the car understeers, give it a bootfull of throttle and enough brake, with your left foot, to lock the rear wheels. The car rotates and when you're pointed the direction you want to go, just let off the brake and modulate the throttle to control the wheelspin. With some practice, it works great!

hey never reallly tried that out..
i'm gonna try it ..

since i have the rear sway bar installed ( 1 week ago )
the car doesn't do the same thing in the corners anymore.. ( stock suspension )
so i have to be carefull not to loose the rar end while trying ****
but that sounds like cool
so u can transfer the weight some front without letting go the gaz..
eheh

must take some time to get it right though

(Honda318dx): don't u have only change the rear way bar too ?
how do u feel the car with it ?
i'm still not sure if i cna go faster with that setting ..
aaahha i'm still in the middle ofall that..wondering if i should put the front bar too or sell it

Yep... That's one of the skills that can be more useful for low grip conditions. LFB works at the track, but not nearly as well as on snow covered roads. On high grip situations, most just trail brake.
