Ok here's teh deal. I have a 2.25 rear cat back. And greddy SS 2.25 header.

Would teh ITR header benifit at all? since the rest of the exhaust is 2.25?

You need to be a little more explicit in your posts. What kind of car is this? What type of gains are you hoping for? A whole slew of misconstrued words is going to get you exactly what you got. NOTHING!

 

ok. sorry. I got an EK witha JDM type r motor. I know it comes with the JDM 4-1 but I'm thinking of replacing it with a greddy SS header. I already have a 2.25 catback... so teh 2.5" JDM header doesnt' really match up to the rest of my system, and I really don't want to buy a new catback. Will I lose lots of power going to the greddy?

 

Yes you will lose power. Upgrade your exhaust to something 2.5" and then start shopping for a good 2.5" collector'd header.

 

you said "comes with the JDM 4-1" why do you want to go with a smaller collector?

 

I am an idiot. I acutally gave the header away, becaus eI didnt' think it would make any more power since I had 2.25" all the way back.... I'm just curious how much power I'm losing.

 

Its not going to be huge gains, probably anywhere from 1-5hp at best.

This is a common misconception, but it's actually a 2.00" collector.

I don't think you are losing much power because the JDM ITR isn't a true 2.5" collector header anyways.

That theory will get you really far when tuning.

 

well whatever, I lost of few HP. doesn't really matter that much. I mean, the JDM 4-1 flows a bit better than teh USDM itr header, right? And a greddy would flow a bit better then a USDM itr header. so woudlnt' they be some what comparable?
