Default Hondata and AEM EMS tuning in PA Sat. Nov 22.

I will be flying Mase up here to dyno tune my car on Saturday Nov 22. I was wondering if anyone else would be interested in having your car tuned by him. I will be dynoing at Xoticmotorsports. I spoke with Chris from Xotic and he said it would be $600 to rent for the whole day. If I can get enough people I will rent it for the day. Mase will be tuning hondata and AEM since those are the two systems he knows the best. I anyone is interested let me know by replying to this thread.

If you have any questions let me know. I am sure I missed a lot of things.

Thanks
Chad

Sounds cool. Make sure to get deposits if possible. Boosted Hybrid and I have had a couple Dyno days there and people who say they will be there dont show up. I'm already tuned but would definitely come see some cars making sick power.

Thanks for the input. Anyone else with helpful input is appreciated I would like to see this go as smooth as possible. I just want my car set up and tuned. I was waiting for Boosted Hybrid because it would be much easier to work out the logistics then flying Mase up from FL getting the dyno and everything else that goes along with it. I know Jeff is so busy with school and I wanted to get it tuned before the snow hits. I know Mase is a very good tuner also and I trust him to tune my engine so it is worth working out flight details and taking off work and so on.

when would the dyno day be? i have about 3 friends other than myself that would be interested in tuning, i was trying to set it up with jeff but the dyno was going to be down until dec since the AWD dyno was going in.. not sure if it will be worth it now since snow will hit pretty soon and my car will be going to storage.. so who knows...

if i were up there i'd do it...its definately worth it so people quit giving excuses to other people about how your car would be better if it were tuned and get it done right.

Yup, its official, just bought the airline ticket.

PA here I come

For anyone who needs Full Tuning, or maybe a Partial tune if your cars not running like it should, let myself or Chad know. If 5 or 6 people get together, it will work out cheap for everyone, otherwise Chad is just gonna get the dyno for a couple hours.

Mase can you get rid of the 300mm/hg 3bar blip? If so I might be down for some partial throttle tuning.

The Ideal would be to get say 6 people. 9 hours / 6 people = 1.5 hours per person(including time getting on and off dyno though).

The dyno alone is $600...so that would be $100 per person. My plane ticket is $230(200 plus 30 parking fee ) so it would be fair to split that so Chad doesnt have to pay it all. So off the bat, we are looking at $140 per person just for those fees right there....

Then of course my fantastic tuning service fee.....which I dont know yet.....Basically, it would depend mostly on if you need a full tune or partial tune. But since this is more of a hobby, and its a bit costly to fly me up there....I'm not gonna charge anyone a lot of money.

However, If we have enough interest, we would need to take a deposit for the dyno rental.

What about VAFC? I don't want to shell out money for hondata at the moment. But if you'll tune VAFC then I'll be down. I'll put a deposit down too if need be.

so you want 140 for just 1.5hrs of dyno time + labor?? Isn't the dyno rate 75 dollars/ hr (150 for 2 hrs) so wouldn't it be cheaper to just use it by the hr instead of renting it out for 600?

well actually, if you look at it this way. 9 hours x 75 = $675. So really we are saving $75....not that great of a deal, but hey, u gotta do whatcha gotta do, as more people get interested, maybe we can get a better deal on the dyno

600 for a whole day is a fare deal but if u divide it by 6 it's still coming out to 100 each + 40 for your air fees which isn't saving anything. Also there's going to be some ppl, like myself that needs a full hondata dyno (partial and full throttle) which will need more than 1.5hrs. Boost hybrid was willing to tune my car for 325 for labor and dynoing so if u can beat or match that Ill definitely be there for the dyno day.

yup, started out tuning the EMS, perfected it on my car, moved to others, picked up hondata cuz its so easy. Those are the two main systems I know best, but after learning the AEM EMS, pretty much everything shouldnt be too hard.

I've gotten a lot of PM's and IM's on AIM of people interested. IF everyone is set on doing it, your name will be prioritized by when you pay the deposit. First 5 people(besides chad of course) WINS
