Diff between type sh and base model 97+ preludes?
I have checked a ton of sites and cannot seem to figure out the difference between the sh model and the base model 97+ prelude. I am looking towards buying one since my gs-r was totalled and am wondering what the difference is. Somebody let me know. Thanks ahead of time.

From what I know, both base and SH models are identical when it comes to the engine. The SH has some accessories that the base model does not have such as a leather shift ****, spoiler, different rims, and some others I can not remember. The SH is slightly heavier, and I think has a different chassis (not sure about the chassis thing). The SH has an ATTS unit which is connected to the transmission. I'm sure many lude owners would recommend the base model, or the 4th generation prelude. I myself have a SH, and love it.
It also has a TYPE SH sticker on the back.

The block is different but creates the same power, atts, cams, radiator, control arms, many more sensors, leather shift ****, suspension, rims
front suspension is different on the SH (biggest thing people dont realize). the geometry is different (specially designed to reduce torque steer) and the exhaust routing is slightly different to accomodate the ATTS.
other than that everything up here is accurate, including the sticker

stuff that the sh has that base doesn't:
1. atts
2. type-s rims
3. rear spoiler
4. different suspension
5. courtesy lights on the door
6. leather shift ****
7. different rear decklid (doesn't have the 3rd brake light)
8. painted side skirts and rear valence
9. the sticker
i think that pretty much sums it up...

it's kinda like the push on lights next to the dome light. it's just on the door and turns on automatic when you unlock the car door/disarm alarm.
