Leaking Coolant!!
Took the car out today, only to find my idle all fawked up and gettin a CEL #14. I also started smelling coolant, so I checked it out and saw that my garage spot where I had parked, had a pool of coolant, and little trails of coolant from the car out to the street where I had driven.
A couple days ago, I was just in the garage checking my oil and coolant, and to my surprise, the coolant reservoir box that connects to the radiator was totally empty (I don't know how long I've been driving without Coolant). I immediately filled it up, only to find my car leaking it again. It's half empty already after 2 days of filling it up. There must be a leak somewhere. The temp needle hasn't gone up thankfully.
What could be the problem? Would that be the reason why my idle is messed up and gettin a IACV defected CEL? I'm gonna try and find out what the problem is before I take it to a shop and get it diagnosed on tuesday.

hmm.. .i know that these radiator suck and crack...
but guys... this is one LOW mileage GS-R!! im hoping that's the only problem Jun!!
edit -NOTE- I did not get a CEL when my radiator took a dump
but it sounds like its just the infamous honda radiator
since she's not overheating... fire it up, and watch for a leak!!

Thas what I thought too, but someone told me since my car is modified, my warranty is voided??

For example, if you modded your suspension, and your tranny went out, your tranny would still be covered.

Oh ok. I hope this is true. I'm gonna get everything checked out on Tuesday.

The same thing happened to my car........check the reservoir tank and it was bone dry.......notice a spot of coolant on the ground where my car was parked......basically, lowered integra's are known for cracked radiators. I've known a couple guys who are on their 4th radiator. I just got one off of ebay, slapped it in, and no more coolant leaks.

I've leaked coolant twice. Once from a hose and the second from my radiator. Just hope that its only a hose.

Thats "coolant resivior box that connects to the readiator" is called a Collant Overflow Resivior. That shouldnt have coolant in it...hense the name overflow.
Check, and re-check all your hoses, and underside of the radiator (maybe a rock cracked it). In the mean time, a bottle of water, or a bottle of coolant should be your new passenger in the car at all times till you figure out the problem.
I had the same problem after my motor swap. I had to put a fan switch in the radiator, and it was leaking from that area everytime i hit VTEC. I had a bottle of coolant on my back seat at all times.

wtf?
I was suppose to get my car checked out today, but my ***** not leaking anymore. It's the wierdest ****. I took it around town and took it to redline a couple times and still no sign of leaking. I checked the hoses, radiator and water pump. Seems like everything is fine.
I'm stumped.

If you are in the same boat with me, you may have a leak somewhere on the inside of the car. I noticed that my res. bottle went completely empty after a road trip last weekend. I have been smelling coolant from time to time and even noticed vapors from an obvious leak somewhere. I looked everwhere and I still haven't found it. I took the car to the dealership and they told me that it may be coming from the heater core. This part, which is inside the car, has a small inlet hose running from the radiator system somewhere. Funny this is, the guys told me that if the core was leaking, I should be seeing a damp or wet floor on the passenger side of the car.
I have looked and looked and still haven't found out where it's coming from. I only smell burning coolant from time to time, but the bottle stays empty. You maybe having the same problem as me. Hopefully you will find it before it gets worse. I just pray that it's not the heater core. The part runs about $290 from the dealers. But it could also be a cracked hose somewhere also.
Good luck. let me know what you find.

Ok. I started my car and let it idle for about 10 minutes. I pressed the gas a couple times and let it idle some more.
Afterwards, I checked underneath the car and saw the leak. I took some pictures of it. It was dripping HOT coolant where the header was at, next to the cat.
Where do you think the coolant is leaking from?

If you do have the skunk2 manifold, check the outlet on the skunk2 manifold that's normally plugged by guys who put them on. I've leaked from there too but the hose with a bolt on the end seems to be holding up well.

See... this is why I love H-T so much. Thanks to all your help, I found exactly where it was leaking and most of you were right.
It was leaking from the extra Coolant port I had plugged before installing the Skunk2 IM. It seems like the plug wasn't strong enough for the pressure. I'll be gettin some plugs and clamps and plugging it up real good this time.
BTW, will it spurt out coolant if I unplugged it while the car was cool?

Not really, it will just leak a bit (on an LS). Done that many times
.
Like i said, a hose with a bolt on the end with clamps works well. Good luck

It will just leak a bit? Are you sure? I just took the hose off and coolant started gushing out. I had to put the hose back on to stop it...
