anyone got any suggestions?? do u knoe if a civic si lip would fit on a del sol?!?!?

 

my friend used the lip from a 92-95 Civic EX. Requieres drilling holes on the bottom of the bumper. The lip doesn't fit right, unlike on the 92-95 hatches and coupes, i guess because the bumper is designed different.

The deciding factor for me would be about proportionality. the 99-00 si (si-r) lip looks really good if you have a rear spoiler or some other kit to go along with it:


this is probably not a good picture, but by itself, i feel like the si lip looks to big:


*From what i've heard from other users, in order to get the si-r lip to fit, youd have to cut off about 1inch from each sides to get it to fit*

but if you just want that subtle, yet aggressive look, then the 92-95 civic lip looks really nice:

I was in the last group. at first it did not fit, but all i had to to do is clamp down the sides, stretch the lip up as far as i could (close to where the black and the paint meet) and used self-tapping screws and just started screwing them in to tighten the lip.*

I really like this one...but im a bit confused is this a usdm part? The way you worded that was weird, Maybe thats me -note to self drink some more coffee- so is it SI. or SI-R?

the owner of that car says its a si-r "style", so it is a knockoff from ebay. You could get an oem lip for a 99-00 civic si, but those come painted from the factory. the knockoff's from ebay come primered so you can paint them whatever color you want.

yes ....red del....= load blown. someone has to know what kind of lip is on that beast!!!

 

The lip on the red sol is a 92-95 civic oem lip molded to the bumper.

 

Mugen style lip looks good on a delsol.

 

I thought I liked mine, until I saw that "SI Style" one... I might have to pick one up.... that is if I can find it in raw ABS plastic......+

yah its unpainted and that is the knock off type r lip i used to have it on my hatch see.

One more question on that black SOL. You guys think the side skirts are left unpainted or painted? Would it look nasty if I Painted my side and left the SIR lip unpainted?
