Default sold my 93 4ws

hey guys i sold my mint condition 93 si 4ws for 8000 heres the story. i bought the car from my brother when i was 16 but i didnt have my liscence i got some ideas about boosting it but decided i wanted to go all motor. at first i purchased a nuespeed header greddy sp exhaust and a rs aikimoto intake the car ran a 15.0 at 96 mph. after that i decided to try something i wasnt sure would even work. i found a wrecked vtec prelude and sent the head for porting polishing and a five angle valve job. when i got the car back i had a whole new ferrea valve train put into the head then i purchased prelude type s pistons and a mugen head gasket raising the compression to 11.8:1 i then purchased a set of total seal rings and gude cams to finish the head. i also bought a gude throttle body and computer.

using the wiring harnesses out of the prelude we installed the head and adjusted everything,(set valve lash etc.) the next day i took the car to have it dyno tuned the final result was a 2.3 vtec motor with a stock bottom end that produced 233.7 hp @9000 and a whopping 256.4 lb/ft of tourque @3200 at the front wheels.

the next day i took the car to the track. even with my horrible 2.5 60ft i was till able to run a 14.1 at 114 very excited i took the car home and put it in the garage

the next night i took the car out looking for some races.(keep in mind the only people who knew what was under the hood was me and whoever saw it run at the track). i found an integra type R and made myself 300 bucks.
that night i took the car to my friends house and we went out to route 40 he has a 2001 VW gti 1.8t. we pulled next to each other and took off at the light i hit 2nd and third perfect but when i shifted into 4th at about 100 i put it back into second and let out the clutch. boom............i pulled over with the car still running it sounded fine and was running fine my friend said from 10 cars behind me he saw the car nosedive horribly.
while driving the car home i noticed that it drove fine until you wanted to put it in third gear cccccccccrrrrrrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnn nnnccccccccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhh................... ..every time i finally got the car home and put it in my garage the next day i began the put the stock head and pistons back into the car.

stock again i drove the car with the crunching tranny to school until one day a kid offered me 8000 for the car the next word that came out of my mouth without thinking was SOLD... he gave me a 2000 dollar deposit for the car which i bought a 93 honda civic hb and the car has been sitting in my driveway since..

for the past six months i have had this car in my drive way and the rest of the money doesnt get here until nov 10. then i will be getting a gsr motor for my hatch

so here i am waiting....... i sold the head and computer for 800 bucks no where near what i paid but i didnt care
the car only has 79000 miles on the clock and has fresh paint

i am going to post a video of the first thing i did when i got the head put on the car................a big *** burnout

cliff notes: i sold my broke *** prelude

Damn, that is awesome man. I wish I had known about this. I would have loved to see you run that car.

I have a 92 Si 4WS.

I am in Maryland too.

PUHLEEEEEZEEEE!!

Dude the only thing true about that story is that you sold your broke *** prelude.

An si 4ws with I/H/E running 15.0? Hahahahaha. At 96MPH? 96 mph would put you into the mid 14's

Mugen makes no head gasket for the H22a.

so you installed the head and the next day without even breaking in your brand new rings and pistons you hit the dyno..umm yeah...

ON top of that you got 233whp at 9000rpms. ******* impossible. there is no gude cam that could even possibly make power that high. and your compression isn't high enough anyways

256wtq oh that's amazing haha at 3200rpms no less. I see you are magically defying the laws of physics, you make peak torque about 2000rpms lower than any h22a...yet you peak hp at 9000? I had an h23 VTEC the torqu peaked at 5600 and the hp at 7000. Should I stop now? Oh no I think I'll keep going.

So the second day after installing the head ans pistons (still no break in) you went to the track. 14.1@114? 114MPH....umm you all motor civics in the low 12's just break 110? You must have been running 11;s eh? pfffft

So you were racing a golf gti....they got what...170hp flywheel. so given that your car runs magical 11's the race would have been over by halfway through first gear....but oh noooo you went all the way to fourth just to be sure...

so you mis-shifted and now third gear is fucked. this is a TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. Yet you decide to start removing the pistons and head from the car. Umm yeah great idea because that MUST be the problem. It couldn't be the tranny. And for the amount you MUST have spent why bother to get it fixed? nahhhh just pull it apart 4 days after building one of the single, most powerful 4 cylinder naturally aspirated motors in the world.

You have got to be kidding me. I'm going to leave this thread open just so people can laugh at you.

first of all the 114 is a typo it was 104 and second i know it was a tranny problem i was planning on fixing it and this kid offered me more than what i had in the car so i sold it too him. the hp #'s are on a 30 shot, and yeah i guess it was pretty retarded not letting the engine break in or anything but i had only had my licsence for about a month and i was so excited i was about to wet myself . and when did i say it was a stock gti?
