Help me adjust my Eq and Amp on crossover Hi/Lo
6X9 rears: Frequency Response -- 30 - 26,000 Hz
Sub - Frequency Response -- 30 - 3,000 Hz
Hi/Lo crossover filter 50hz to 200hz
Where should I set the filter for best result? My ears can't really tell the difference. It's set at 200hz right now.
Thanks

Is the crossover set up for Front + rear + sub out(3way), or is it a 2 way( 1 set of high pass outputs, and 1 set of lowpass outputs )?
If the first, try setting up your front channels by ear,....set the volume to an area similiar to what you will listen to, then set your crossover frequency by listening for distortion.......set your levels, then adjust crossover accordingly,...then recheck levels....etc.etc.etc.
maybe set your your highpass output a little higher than this level as a bit of a safety precaution.
Rear,....disconnect or turn off frnt channels from crossover, set rear in a similiar fashion as front,....there should be room to overlap the frequencies between the font and rear crossover points....ie. the rear set a little lower, since it has larger speakers.
yada...yada...yada, set the sub,.....just takes playing around with to get it the way you want it to sound.
good luck
p.s. I know that isn't very scientific, but I figure you have to listen to it,....so use your ears to set it.

They are for rear and sub only.
Yeah, that's a good method to go by. But distortion happens depending on the song that is playing. I'm just trying to determine a "safe" zone without forcing the 6X9 to go too low, and not having the sub go too high.
Thanks

Oh, in that case, go with about a 60-80hz cutoff on the sub channels, and about a 65-90hz cutoff on the 6x9 channels,
that should give you a little overlap, and most 6x9's should play safely in this range.
Most subs should play well around 60-80 hz area as well.
Is that more along the lines of what you were looking for?
