Hey guys, just wondering what size injector the stock D-series engine comes with?? I've done a search, but nothing helps!

I would also like to know. I seem to think that the ITRs are bigger for some reason, but maybe not.

I am almost certain there are various sizes, but I can't track down the specific info right now.

 

they are different sizes.... let me track down the picture by accel that shows the different sizes...

 

prelude injectors are bigger...but the size varies between the years. Not sure on the exact specs.

that's fine and dandy... but that doesnt show the differences between trim levels

for example, the 96-00 DX injectors are only ~170cc, while the EX is 240cc

btw i thought they were 180.

 

All D series and B series are the same 240CC

why would they equip a 70hp cx motor with the same injectors as a 197hp itr motor? makes no sense.

 

Well then explain why they are all marked the same?

92 = 00 civic = 240cc

 

list is obviously somewhat in error, someone fix it and post it to the FAQ or summin, im too lazy.

Think about it.. wouldnt it be cheaper to manafacture 1 injector for all models than to make different ones for each model?

That list is correct..

OK answer me this.. I used OBD-1 Injectors for a VX in a B17 and it works get correct air to fuel mixture..

 

if that was the case then then we'd all have 345cc's like the prelude.

heh, trust me if a auto manf can save a dime per car they're going to do it.

i just looked on hondaautomotiveparts.com and the DX/LX/CX all have the same injector pn, but the EX is different.

I'm tellin ya they have 170-180cc

Test em.. then get back to me.. I did.. so you will know where I am comming from.

But they are all the same..

 

please post your testing method.

id show this thread to someone who tunes civic almost exclusivly, but I dont think it would prove anything to anyone.

really dont wanna have a pissing match, especially since i dont own a POS ek civic jk to the ek owners.

 

infinatenexus has a chart from Accel showing the different injector sizes for various Honda vehicles...

i'm gonna try to post it up soon.

BatuKing is correct. All 92-00 b and d series motors are ALL 240cc. From the Integra typeR to the 92 70hp cx. All 240cc.

Why? Because its cheap. Why stock 200 difference style injectors when you can use just one in all cars. Its cheaper to build them that way.

A note, the obd0 d and b still had 240cc, but they were low impedience while the obd1+ all had high impedience.
