Default To those of you w/the Power Steering removal kit and have had it a while...???

Is there anything you regret about it? would you do it again? or do you wish you wouldn't have done it? I'm still debating if i should put my kit on (or is it off? ) Anyway, post your comments. TIA

LOL - You still haven't installed it yet Jan? Whatever you decided to do, the kit purposely does not require any permanent modifications to the vehicle, so it's completely reversible.

would never go back to the faded feeling of PS.

I feel much more connected to the road with out it, and after a while you learn how to go through low speed parking situations better.

Padawans kit is btw

heh, yea I procrastinate a lot. I was going to put it in, but then I heard some people say it could mess up your PS system in the long run since you're running on low fluid or something.

The setup I describe in the instructions involves filling the rack and loop system completely with fluid, and letting the reservoir act as a breather/overflow. Certain people may choose to run significantly less fluid (which results in lower steering effort) but I suggest the full method for just the reason that you mentioned.

Hmm...I'd say roughly an hour and a half from start to finish, depending on how fast you work, breaks, etc. As for tips, read through the directions and make sure you understand them and know where everything is on the car before you start. Also make sure you have the necessary tools (a jack and jackstands is also handy). Other than that, it's really pretty straight-forward, and you shouldn't have any trouble with it. You can contact me if you run into any problems.

One thing I'd like to add - from looking at the photo below, and some of the other photos, it looks like Teflon tape was used on the threads of the tapered AN connector. Aeroquip actually recommends that no Teflon tape (or any other substance) be used on these connections. Nice, helpful pics though.
