Default Cheap Exhaust Idea?

Have a few problems with some holes I found in my exhaust and makes my car rumble down the road. Have had this cherry bomb muffler sitting in my house for some time now. Wanna know some opinions on putting it on

thats what is looks like, I woud use that as my muffler and grab a 4 inch tip from crappy tire. I also have a gutted cat and am thinking this muffler may actaully be good for some hp. Ideas?

you'll get some gains but it will be LOUD. your cat prolly does a better job of muffling than that thing. usually people use them as extra resonators for loud exhausts, but they have little value as a muffler on their own.

I wouldnt even waste my money on the tip, it would make it cheaper , or if you really want a tip you can buy the greedy sp tip that I cut off

Just spray paint the cherry bomb black or maybe silver...

Ya I sprayed it this morning, sprayed it a dull silver, I have a bud that works at canadian tire so I can get a tip for free. How exactly loud will this be? Like will I get pulled over regularly? Would be a 4inch tip from 2.5" piping

i have straight pipe with a glasspack like that at the end, 2.5 mandrel all the way. Its not that loud and it surprisingly is deep and not raspy one bit. But its gone soon for an N1 canister. But its worth it, just put it on.

I had a cherry bomb on my crx like 5 years ago. They arent loud at all, really mellow and low toned...even at high revs. This was with stock piping and a DX engine though.
Sounds very similar to the GReddy system at idle to 3.5k, except the greddy exhaust gets louder and changes tone with increasing revs.

Like stated before seems ok, but I would guess it to be really loud too.

with the catalytic, being gutted, it has nothing to do with the noise ratio, just relieves the engine of un wanted back pressure, i had a cherry bomb, on my b20t turbo rex, it was a very deep sound

i've pretty much got one of those on my car but its obx stylin. i have 2.5" custom cat back, no resonator, and the muffler. For me its too loud, maybe if i had a resonator, but its really getting annoying so i just ordered a 2.25" Dynomax catback for 130 bucks and i'm gonna use my current obx muffler welded in for a resonator, i'll keep you up to date on how it sounds.

MY greddy SP does a great job of keeping the sound levels way down. I dont really notice it "changing tones," or if it does, its not noticeable at all. All my noise comes from under the hood. Which greddy system are u referring to? Stock piping and a DX motor will result in less exhaust noise.

I got this on a d15b vtec engine, with 2.25 SS piping, no cat, so it's the only noise reducer on my exaust setup '' it's more a resinator'' then a muffler though, but the noise is fully controlable, I mean, it will not buzz as hell if you didn't rev it hard, in city, I can get up to 5K without having to be too anoying. it's loud over 5k though, I newver had pig problem with it, it start to rust ( it's been 2 year in it's place) anyway, a guy I know got a dual output Vibrant muffler for is A6 and it's a whole lot noisier than my glass pack!!

hope this help
see ya
