i just want feedback... like how easy it was to install, how its working, any problems people ran in to, any other parts thats needed that kit doesnt include, etc... anything about it ??

All I have heard is good things about it. But it would be nice to hear what ppl who accually have it think about it. Either or I am still getting it, later on down the road.

Its still relativly new, so there might not.

 

My freind just used it putting his b18a into a 95 hatch. It was very simple to install, but his car still isnt running yet so were yet to see what happens

HUH?

I thought its cable to hydro?

 

I also believe the kit doesnt come with a hydro slave cylinder which you need.

why would you need a hydro cylinder? that would defeat the purpose of converting the tranny from hydro to cable. if the kit required the use of slave cylinder, than you wouldn't have to worry about a hydro tranny, because the new ef chassis would be a "hydro chassis". am i making sense?

those axles are expensive lifetime warranty???

 

sup guys, my boy has it on his 94 civic with a b16 setup and it works perfect. u wouldnt even know the difference. he got it for $80 from hasport because they said they werent selling much.

Can I get one for 80 bucks? I'd love one.. and to the guy who said it would be point less for the hydro MC.. HOW? If you're going from cable to hydro.. and you don't have a hydro one.. I'd think you'd need one.. maybe it's just me..

If you read it carefully I think he was talking about the hydro to cable conversion as well as the guy that said his friend got one for 80bucks in his 94 civic? 94 are hydro.

Exactly, If he is using a cable tranny with a chassis thats set-up for hydro he needs the kit, or a new transmission whichever route you want to go.

I am not sure if they offer lifetime warranty, have you tried their site? I am sure you can still use stock axles though...

OK, I think you are confused. You are referring to the kit that allows a CABLE tranny to be used in a HYDRO car. This thread is referring to the New HaSport kit that allows a Hydro tranny to be used in a car that uses a CABLE actuated clutch system.

With that being said, I am one of the first in my area to be using one of these kits. I'm running a JDM 98spec Type R motor with its own 4.7 final drive, LSD, HYDRO tranny in my OBD1 converted 90 CRX HF.

During the installation, I noticed how the "threaded rod" in the kit comes in very close contact with the Lower Radiator hose. I speculated that after continued use of the clutch mechanism, the threaded rod could act as a file and rub a hole in the radiator hose. So I decided to put plastic loom over the rod and then wrap it with black electrical tape. The rod still comes in contact with the radiator hose, but it will have to wear out the electrical tape and plastic loom first, before getting to the actual threaded rod itself. I'm sure this can be adressed by having rod be threaded ONLY on the ends where its needed and having it "SMOOTH" where it comes in close contact with the lower radiator hose.

Also, the ground strap that usually bolts to the tranny had to be stretched out to reach the new threaded hole on the HasPort bracket. I'm sure this can be addressed by having HaSport just drill the hole in a closer location on the bracket so the ground cable can have some slack.

Other than that, I am very satisfied with the conversion kit thus far and I applaud HaSport for being the first ones to come out with a mass produced kit of this nature. I've had the kit in for a couple of months now.

Now my EF/ED customers have a way to run a hydro B series trannys in their cars.

The downfall of EF/ED's before used to be those damn hard to find JDM decade + old OBD0 Vtec distributors and decade old cable trannys........not anymore!!!

I will find a way to post pics up sometime of the conversion.

I don't think it works for D series.
the tranny size I think are totaly different
