Best clutch and flywheel?
Ok guys I need some information and any kind of help you can give me regarding a clutch and flywheel. My brother has a 2001 ITR and is about to replace his clutch and flywheel. His clutch is slipping horrible, so he is finally going to buy a clutch and possible a flywheel today.
Well his car is a daily driver and may be used for a few track events, but for the majority just a street car. Now I have heard of act, clutchmaster, and another brand called comp.. something. But what I was wondering is what would be a good brand to go with, or rather which clutch would be ideal for this type of driving?
Also we thought he might as well upgrade his flywheel since his tranny is going to be pulled. Now what suggestions would you guys give on flywheel choices.
At the moment he has CAI, exhaust, header, vafc tuned. So he has just the basics.
Well any help and informations is appreciated guys.

Which exedy clutch are you guys talking about? I've seen some problems with them and some are great.

Same as I have
My opinion, get the lightest flywheel you can get(comptech's 6.7lb one).
The ACT clutch comptech sells grabs like a mob. Its truly incredable. I constantly get wheel spin on accident when shifting gears. It will even chirp 5th gear now which is hard to believe or imagine until you see it.

I still have not heard back from them after emailing them with my reply to their excuses. Im sure they are just hoping I go away and forget it.

I'm going to recommend either the Fidanza flywheel, or the Comptech Aluminum 6.75lbs one. Comptech being my preference.
For clutches...go ACTION. They're kevlar and will last nearly forever if treated right. They're also easy on the flywheel.
