EVIL DOHC Tuning Represents @ Island Dragway (PICS)
SpeedRacer667, Crazzy, and my boy Hyper all went to island today. We broke some times and broke some axles as well
. Here are the specs.
First is Hyper's Type R.
2001 Type R B18C5
Mods: AEM CAI, Test Pipe, BF Drag Radials and a couple of BS drag racing tricks
. Running strong 14.1 @ 96 mph.
Second:
SpeedRacer 667's Type R, the mods can be found on another thread. I was driving the car personally and broke the time of 13.5@99 BUT also broke an intermediate shaft and an axle powershifting 3rd gear. I let off at about the 1000 foot mark which shows that the car would have def. ran a low 13 by the mph falling so low. The car was still run on 94 pump gas and the exhaust was connected.
Hyper's Type R will def be in the 13 second club once he gets used to launching the car with a aftermarket clutch. The BF's took the stock clutch to a slipping stage. SpeedRacer's R will be breaking more times, if the drivetrain parts hold lol. That clutchnet 6 puck can def take a beatin on the tranny. Either way good outcome.
Comments and questions are welcome.....

No street tires need to be that warm but if you want to hook like you are on full slicks those bf's must look/feel like they are about to melt. Besides 14.1 is not bad for a type r with a couple of hundred dollars worth of mods.

No they dont , trust me , i have raced on those tires a few times. yes 14.1 isnt bad . but thne agian i have done the same times with stock intake , apexi n1, and some light fuel mods on regular BFG street tires . so trust me i know it can be done.

I dont trust anyone, I go out and do it. I saw your car run at etown and you were runnin high 13's on the spray. If hyper felt like it was a wise choice to do a big *** burn out then let it be, no need to hate, playa.
