Default installing mechanical oil pressure gauge on b18c

i am about to install a oil pressure gauge got it all in then went to take out the old oil pressure sensor in the block next to the oil filter and the one that came with the autometer must be s.a.e threads. because it doesn't want to thread in at all. does any one know the size and thread lenth? before i go to autozone.

I think its 1/8" pipe thread. Try Ace Hardware of Home Depot

that's what i thought but 1/8 came with the autometer gauge and i pulled out the oil pressure sensor and it is 10mm. the 10mm will screw into the 1/8 but the 1/8 will not screw into the block.
