do you have an pictures or names of people have done it to EKs. Cause I got the projectors and hat the fitment. I though about hacking them apart and trying to get them into the stock housing.

ok please bear with me, i had trouble with camera settings and i didnt have a tripod. it may be a little dark but i tried. keep in mind that the del sols never had aftermarket headlights so all i had were the stock fluted lenses. it flares a little above the the cutoff line but it beats stock. it still doenst blind everyone so i'm still happy.... flame if you must, but again, i tried my best. both retro and pictures...

startup

projector

funky cutoff (It glares a little above the cutoff because lenses are fluted)

picture with high beam

most the pictures make the HID look blue, but its actually white. i'll get daytime shots if anyone wants to see more. projector looks better during day

ebay

280 shipped for
infinity i30 projectors, ballasts and two bulbs.

but again i wish that they made aftermarket headlights for the sol, so it isnt all fluted (lines running across the headlight). it would improve the cutoff line a lot

Question for all you HID guru's

Q: What would be the best head lamps to use for a hid retrofit?

A: Eg stanley head lamps
B: Stock eh head lamps
C: Those projectors - Dont really want to get those projectors.

I would like to use the projectors with the hid setup.

whatever aftermarket headlight that has non fluted lenses (where the glass is all clear)

just in my case, del sol's have no love, so no aftermarket headlights.

are the stanley clear lensed? if so then i'd recomend those. theres another person on this board who has retroed projectors into his aftermarket projector headlights. he was pretty happy with the results. basically he replaced the shitty projector it came with, witht he HID projector, so the cutoff line was nice and neat.

but personaly it would be easiest to retro into a stock like housing. as long as the lens is clear and not fluted then outcome and beam pattern would be better. also you will get a better look at the projector and would look kick ***.

good luck

well here's mine https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=622672&page=2
im really glad i did this project. if you like driving at night, this is definately worth it, i kid you not. i actually drive my car at night now more often because hid's make you feel good
i wouldnt do a retrofit on headlight housing w/ fluted lenses, it will be bright but the beam pattern on the ground will not be as nice. this is why i used my old projectors because of the nice clear glass on the housing.

i also have these headlights. notice the nice clear lens - this will probably be my next retrofit project when i get some extra cash

take off the .orig.jpg knucklehead

if you are trying to make a sales pitch you will need better pics & pics of the cutoff - how much glare are you getting, looks like it MAY be a lot -

in the pic, is that guy using any sort of shield -besides the OEM one in the housing????
