Stock Accord 1/4 mile times?
My mom is trying to persuade me to buy a 95 5 speed Accord and I'm curious to how fast these cars run in the quarter mile? How are they, compared to an Si coupe (99-00) with indentical mods in the quarter mile?
Reason asking is, I drive a base model Cavalier with an intake and exhaust. I race 2 different accords with i/e on one and i/h/e. They both pull harder after 60 than the Si did with a DC short ram from a standstill, but all of them get owned pretty bad (like... 1 car link) until around 50-60 when they begin gaining ground.
Need opinions: Go for bolt-on power and light spray or swap h22? GIVE ME OPINIONS!!! Thanks you

lmao, I've had enough of the dinosaur technology that is American motors, plus I'm only 17 so insurance on Mustangs>me
I am allowed 6500 dollars to spend, and I can keep any extra money. I am in posession of 750 dollars as we speak out of my own paycheck.
I believe the car is a 95 2-door lx with 95k miles. Would it be better to get an ex model? Edit: Forgot to add, the asking price is 4300 O.B.O

my 95 5 speed f22b1 (ex) ran a 15.9 stock.
the lighter lx... depending on the options you choose should be very close... esp. if a 2 door.
btw
most boltons are a waste, h22 is great for a little more power however costly, the spray is a great bang for buck but has less margin for user errors, and finally a turbo is expensive and alot of work (my route).

LOL, wow, you guys have weights anywhere from 2k pounds to 4k pounds lol. When I had my 95 lx coupe 5 spd accord, if I remember correctly it weighted in at 2820lbs. My 99 accord coupe 5spd is 2976. 4 drs are maybe 50lbs heavier or so probably. Anyways, when I ran my bone stock 95 lx coupe 5 spd I ran a 16.3. And I only had time to do 2 runs. I would beat my friends 4 dr EX 5spd 94 accord every time we raced. Almost 200 lbs heavier.
Just to put this in perspective. A friend of mine had a 94 Accord EX 5 speed 4 door. He never ran it for the 1/4, but he hung with the 99 Si's with h/i/e. I guess it depends on the driver too. Of course, his car only had about 60,000 miles on it. Also his was bone stock, which made it oddly fast for that Accord. I dunno, some say certain motors or a bit faster then usually...
something's funny?

of course, we all have friend that accidently hung or beat a faster car when we are not there.

if your 95 accord ran 15.9 then my hatch with the stock head had to run 14's rofl.. i raced my friends 95 accord ex 5spd w/thermal exhaust, stage 2 clutch, cai and i beat him by 3 cars up to 85 probably... my car is a 91 hatch si with i/h/e/fuel pressure regulator, at the time anyway. so show me a timeslip please.
also if you say you used a g-tech, you should be slapped.. my friend ran 16.0 on the g-tech and at the track ran a 16.4 as his best out of 5 runs

those weights looks a bit inaccurate, sorry but I am still a skeptic of a 95 lx weight being anywere near 2022 pounds.

gvwr is the car's vehicle wait PLUS it's maximum carrying capacity. the actual curb weight of 6th gen accords range from roughly 2900 lbs (4dr, DX, I4 w/ manual) to 3300 lbs (4dr, EX, V6).
As far as quater mile times go, when I had my 4 door automatic singlecam accord, with just intake and exhaust.... I ran it for fun... and the best time was a 17.1 !!!!! HAHAHAHA What a waste of timeslip paper.......
