Default The Monster EGG (an introduction to my TURBO B18C1 EG project) 56k beware

Hi everybody...I'm not a new user, but I haven't made many posts either. I find that i learn more by "listening" to the great advice given by the tech savy members of H-TECH and using the "search" button . But I figured, I might as well introduce you guys to my project, seeing as it's your info that has helped it along. Thanks in advance to all that post on honda tech and especially to Arturbo for supplying me with my beautiful precision sc61 turbo and inline pro manifold!

so here is the buildup as it sits thus far....the monster EGG!

the car back in 95, cut me some slack, it's turbo rice,haha....

the car back in 97...wow, back in the day...

the car about a year ago...

reconstruction from the ground up...

yes, my A-pillar needs to be reconstructed to run thru the dash, dam art morrison kit...

the engine...old pic, i now have a new manifold/turbo setup

inlinepro

electronics

precision sc61

apexi gtr

and the paint....

under construction...

well, that's my show and tell for now. It's been a long & Expensive journey...and I still have a long way to go (it seems like) Only thing stopping me from putting in the engine is the lsd. ( i need to save up a paycheck or two to get my quaife) I will post specs on everything as soon as the car is up and running. I'm shooting for 450-500 whp. This will be a street car, and i fully intend on driving it around as well as taking it to the track. With monsters like(cheezefrog,stoopid,arturbo,tony1) all you forced induction guys! hehe to learn from on this board, i think it's doable. Thanks all, and stay tuned....wish me luck! suggestions/comments (good&bad) are all welcome.

Just remember when streeting it, that rollcage can be a bad thing. Even if its padded, its still a risky thing for the street, IE: no helmet.

Looks great btw.

Very Nice... I love how you can see the changing of the times in each of the pics...

I started building Honda's in about 95 too so it's nice to see others have went through the stages I have...

Very Nice, again! Love the color.

thanks all for the comments and encouragement! This hobby can get stressful & tiring at times.

delslo26- it is funny how times change huh? back in 94, first thing i did was dropped my car and threw a 75 shot of nos on it and rolled on 15" buddy club p1's. that was it, nice and clean..funny how things come full circle.

why did you leave the mid console, while you stripped the rest of the car?

i'd have to disagree, IMHO the body kit seems subtle which can and does look good on some cars. the rear part of kit doesn't looks so hot, but a body kit on a turbo b18c sounds good to me. Now a body kit on a d16y7 w/short ram intake sounds horrible.

i will be putting the door panels and the full dash back in. The center console will hold some of my guages ( i don't want bright guages on the a-pillar visible at night) as for the harnesses, i kinda just threw them in there for now...still workin on it. I'll probably put carpet in the front half of the car as well, to make it a little more livable, hehe.

Ok. so the 1st 2 body kits are not great (but for '95-'97, that's straight up bling bling y0. and that was the thang back then.)

But in it's recent form, that body kit looks great. Just my opinion. It's not too ricey, and it adds to the lines of the car. IMO.
Nice car!!
