i am having problems with my tach (stock)....the ****** dont work. anyway im pretty sure that is what is cousing my shitty idle too (up and down, up and down....etc). anyway i pic would be nice with a big *** arrow pointing to the wire haha anyway its a B18A1 if that matters (A6 will do me fine too)... THANKS!!!

 

It's the blue wire on the dizzy next tot he thick black/yellow one.

 

SWEET! i thought it was that one (its on the two wire plug then right?). so whats the other wire do?? trying to find an easy way to test it...

 

Yes, its on the 2 plug harness. The thick black/yellow is your coil power.

 

k, i have disconnected the dizzy.... i hooked my light to a good ground and poked the blue wire and the light came on...means everything should be working right? (if so why the **** isnt it working then?!?!?)...

**** this is gay and pissing me off, sorry if i am sounding like a 2yo jsut making sure im doing this right and not overlooking something...

 

well the idle is prolly the iacv, or idle air controll valve, its on the back of the intake manifold, they go bad and cause an irratic idle(up, down, up down). as for the stock tach not workin, mine doesnt either but i messed it up myself.
