I'll have mine done on Friday. What model do you have now? It's pretty easy.

- front 5th gen knuckle assembly/spindle/hub/rotor/abs sensor (caliper if you don't already have VTEC brakes)
- Rear 5th gen spindle/hub/rotor abs sensor (all 4th gen rears are the same so I don't think you need the caliper.
- 5 bolt rims.

It has been done but I just am not sure why!?
The only thing I would see as an advantage is wheel selection.

Satan, can you post estimated cost for this swap?(parts)

I did it to get new wheel bearings mainly, and newer abs sensors

I got all the pieces with pads and rotors with Base rims and RE92s for $400 but I doubt anyone will get near that price. It's like $1000 if you don't look around.

So $1000 to have better wheel selection?!?!
I could maybe see some hardcore racers doing it because there's obviously a reason that the ITR has 5 and the GSR has 4.
That just seems like a waste for just more wheels to choose from.

Default thanks

hey guys thanks for the help. Well i want it cuz i have the 92 s model rotors which is smaller. i want to upgrade to the 5th gen brakes. wouldnt that give me more braking power? also its a new look and you dont see it much. Where did you guys find these parts? junkyard? Its kind of rare to find someone selling their 5th gen parts. Im goin to search around if i can find all the necessary parts. nice pictures of all the 4th gens with 5 lugs. looks sick

Wouldn't you just be able to swap 4g VTEC brakes on their?
I would also consider doing an NSX front swap before I spent $1000 on the 5lug swap.

Correct me if im wrong but arent the 5th gen fronts and ITR fronts the same brakes. If so that would open up a whole new section of brakes and rims.

No they aen't.

If you have VTEC calipers already you don't need to disconnect/bleed the brake lines.

for simple ease of installation and to avoid as much downtime as possible
--- use the entire 5th gen front knuckle. ive have heard you can use the 4th gen knuckle and just buy the 5th gen wheel bearings, but they must be pressed in, which unless you have access to a press, you will not be able to do this yourself

anyway....
what you need:

FRONT
5th gen front knuckles (or bearings if you have access to a press, but dont quote me on this as this is not how i did it, someone that did told me it works)
5th gen front hubs
rotors for 5th gen (OEM new or used, or your choice of aftermarket 97+ rotors)
4th or 5th gen calipers, if using 4th gen calipers they must be vtec calipers

REAR
5th gen rear hubs
5th gen rear rotors
5th gen rear spindles (new or used, if purchased used they may come with the rear knuckles, in which case just unbolt them from the knuckles and swap them with the ones currently on your car)

the above will give you everything you need to get those pimp 5lug wheels on your car

additional notes:
---4th gen rear ABS sensors will not bolt directly to the 5th gen spindles, currently my damn abs light is glowing bright yellow. so if you can get the abs sensors with your parts, do so. i will need to source some as these are expensive parts from honda, the teeth on the hubs for the abs look identical, and the spindles are the same shape its just that the holes for the bolts for the sensor are in a different location. im considering some jbweld so that i dont have to use the bolts, it looks like it would work, but this could really suck if you needed new spindles and werent able to get the abs sensors off, you would have to buy new sensors.

---oh and dont forget to go pick up 4 more lug nuts honda wants 7 bucks a piece so i just bought a set of wheel locks.

found this on another site,
