Default DIY: Splitter/Air Dam (56k pissed)

Ever since I toasted my OEM lip on a tire wall, I've been looking for a new piece that met a few requirements:

1- Functional
2- Cheap
3- Strong

After several months of dicking around I finally came up with somthing. An airdam with a 1.5" splitting plane and undertray. I got everything from Home Depot, except the awesome 59 cent rolls of electrical tape and Boh Ice. Here's the final product:

Materials Used:

2- 8' lengths of screen door track.
2- 3x2 sheets of ducting tin.
~32ea 1/8" bolts, washers, nuts.
8- L brackets
2- Rolls of electrical tape
Lots of rivets
18" picture frame wire
Total cost - was <$40.

Here are a few pics of the process and some links since I'm too lazy to resize.

Feel free to tell me that I'm awesome or that my splitter sucks.

[e]THanks to:

snake01- for letting me break into his garage and use his tools when hes not home
Asspenny- WTDR for the continued awesomeness

sweet! i also have one on my eg except the undertray extends out farther, it made the rearend lighter and more rotation it seems and more downforce on the front...but thats just from some spirited street driving...no track impressions yet but soon to come.
