Default omg tell me my axles aren't bust... again!

Okay so while was was driving to go pick up my girl friend today i was rolling down hill at like 20mph in neutral i thought i had it in 2nd ( I donno WHAT i was thinking! ) but had it in 1st then dropped the clutch BANG oops! well seems fine till i pick her up and jump on the freeway...........

when i'm accelerating or braking hard, the car shakes from the front only over 65-70mph... but when just maintaining speed, lightly accelerating/braking or coasting it's smooth like normal...

me

if i have to replace axles again (this would be the 4th!)

engine runs fine, trany shifts fine...

it's not like i overreved the engine... just let the clutch out to fast....

anyways if the compression went bad i think i'd be able to notice...

i'm looking for advice on what to check for the shaking issue...

okay i tried tried tightening the lugs and check out my axles they look okay...

the shake is most noticeable in the top of third at WOT and can be felt mostly through 75-95 mph in 3rd 4th or 5th gear....on the top of 3rd it really shakes!

my guess is a busted mount but i can't see anything looking at them.. everything LOOKS fine!

please help...

almost sounds like something is miss allined, how bad is the vibration? Your sure it didn't do this before? Maybe the stress you put on the car crushed one or more of your front suspension bushings, those things get dry rooted over time and that might have been enough to put it out of comission

yeah today I'm thinking about taking it to get aligned/balanced... but it (the shake) is only under acceleration.... the vibration was 100% not there at all before and on the top of 3rd at wot 75-90mph the shaking gets pretty bad like when you don't give the car enough gas from as stop and you almost stall and the whole car shakes... if you know what i mean...

Looking at my axles they don't look 100% true (could be in my head) but i don't think that dropping the clutch in first at 20mph would bend or break them....?

oh when i did it i do remember a tire chirp if that helps at all...

if the alignment doesn't help i may have to take it to a shop or something.

one more thing that i noticed when i had the car on jack stands, i spun the wheels up to like 80mph and when the car was in gear and i pulled the throttle cable to give it more gas the whole engine "rocked" back and forth like the rear mount on the firewall wasn't even there... is that mount supposed to just look like a rod in a donut that's free to move to a point? I'm really suspecting that rear mount...

dropping the clutch in 1st at 20 would put a huge stress on that mount.... right?

Thanks for any more ideas!

Well i have never mis shifted aspecialy into first but I had the shaking problem like u do, do some figure 8 driving listen to your axles and if you hear anything funny its probably your axle, the right way to do it is take out the hubs and rotate the outer axle shafts all the way around in ever direction if it gets stuck or binds in any position you have a bad axle and eventually it will click and all. This will also make you car shake and slow it down.

Are you planning on asking the same damn question in every single post, read what the others are saying and check the obvious things. You asked for advice so take it rather than saying "did I break my axles?"
