Not sure about the coupe trunks, but with my hatchback, I dropped quite a bit with the cf tailgate.

My EM1's trunk was very light, I don't know if you'll save a lot with a CF one since its light as hell already. But for an EH I know they save around 30lbs if I'm not mistaken.

i saw one for a 92-95 coupes, but it didnt have the light cut out for it. does anyone know of a place that makes em w/light cutouts so it looks the same as a stock one, but its cf?

 

You better hope you don't ever get rear ended with one of those. They do look nice, though.

Carbon fiber bends on impact so unless your car is totalled, CF will stand a better chance against damage than metal. I hit a curb with my cf lip and it bent inwards, then when I pulled away it just bent right back into place.

You have a hatch, not a trunk. And most of them would not come with Lexan. Also Lexan is not glass.

i just asked that...even though we still havent gotten an answer i dont think.

 

ya my bad i know lexan isn't glass but i'm typeing at work and hopping on and off between my work so my bad. but 2point0vtec said he can get trunks and hatches so i was asking him how much he can get the hatchs for. and if you look above there is a pic of a carbon fiber hatch.

this post is not top sound ignorent but i'm just trying to point out that i'm trying to get a reply back from 2point0vtec.
